What an incredible day celebrating International Women’s Day! 💜
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our stall and showed their support. Your encouragement truly fuels the work we do.

I’d like to extend a huge shout‑out to Lisa and Jacquie the team at .lab Byford Co.Lab for organising such an inspiring event that champions women‑owned businesses. Collaborations like these remind us how powerful community can be.
Grateful to the Co‑Lab team, and a special thank you to Kay Louise Phillips from Open House Mundijong for providing a welcoming venue that brought everyone together.

And an extra note of appreciation to Lisa Kniebe, Economic Development Specialist at the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale,

for taking the time to connect with local women entrepreneurs and engage in meaningful conversations about strengthening our community.

On International Women's Day I would also like to recognise some local women innovators who I had the privilege of hosting for lunch at The Parliament of Western Australia a short while ago.

Jacqui Gandy and Lisa Whittington of Byford Co.Lab hosted the Pitch Perfect event back in September, where local business owners and aspirants, coincidentally all women, pitched their ideas to a daunting audience and a panel of judges!

They were all so courageous putting their ideas to the test, and it was great to hear how things had moved on since I had seen them last. It's looking very good for 2026 and beyond.
