I’ve been sitting here reworking the first part of my program today, laptop open, coffee next to me ☕️

I created this a couple of years ago, and it’s always supported women, but I just want it to feel even more supportive and easy to follow.

After running many pregnancy groups and working as a doula and childbirth educator. I kept seeing the same thing.

So many women going through their day feeling a bit alone in it.

Busy,
not knowing where to start,
or just feeling overwhelmed with all the information coming from everywhere.

So I’m just bringing it back to what actually matters, and making it simple to follow, step by step.

Just thought I’d share a little update while I’m working on it ☕️

Updates coming on The Birth Coach Method❤️

This Exhale Mama Retreat Day is an invitation to pause ❤️

For the mums who are always caring for everyone else.
but rarely have space to refill their own cup.

Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also feel full, overwhelming, and exhausting.
This day has been created as a space to slow down, breathe, and gently reset your nervous system.

You’ll be guided through a series of nurturing sessions with experienced facilitators, offering practical tools, grounding practices, and meaningful connection to support you in everyday motherhood.

From a gentle opening circle, to creative expression, nourishing food, and nervous system support and tools.
the day will close with sound healing, allowing you to fully soften, rest, and exhale.

✨ Morning tea + nourishing lunch
✨ A calm, supportive space with other mums
✨ Grounded tools for nervous system support
✨ Time to reconnect with yourself

This isn’t about doing more,
it’s about coming back to you.

📍 Byron Bay
🗓 May 2nd
⏰ 10:00am – 4:30pm

Spaces are limited to keep the day intimate and supportive.

✨ A portion of proceeds will go towards providing education, prenatal and postnatal care for women in remote parts of Bali.

Here’s a technique I share with women as they prepare for labour 👇

When things feel intense in labour, your mind often jumps ahead:
How long will this last?
Can I keep doing this?
What if I can’t cope?

And that’s when it can start to feel overwhelming.

As a birth doula and childbirth educator, one of the most powerful things I share is this:

👉 Come back to this breath, this moment.

Instead of focusing on the whole labour and birth, try this:
🍃one contraction, wave, or surge at a time (whatever feels right for you)
🍃one breath at a time
🍃one moment at a time

This is what helps you feel more grounded and more in tune with your body during labour.

And this is where the right support makes such a difference having someone there to gently guide you back to your breath, one wave at a time.

👉 Save this so you can come back to it when you need it.

In pregnancy, what felt right for someone else might not feel right for you.
And this is where so many women start to doubt themselves.
You hear:what friends or family didwhat worked for someone they knowwhat people around you think you should do
And without even realising it, you start second guessing yourself.

Not because you don’t know what you wantbut because there’s too much noise.
This is so common during pregnancywell-meaning advice, stories, and opinions from friends, family, and people around you
and not enough space to hear yourself.

As a birth coach and doula, this is something I see all the time with the women I support.

So what can you do about it?

Try this simple check-in:
Before taking on any advice, pause and ask yourself:Does this feel supportive or stressful?
Do I feel grounded or tense thinking about this?
Would I choose this if no one else suggested it?

Then give yourself permission to trust your answer. And give yourself time to sit with it,you don’t have to decide straight away.

Learning to trust yourself in pregnancy is a huge part of feeling grounded, confident, and prepared for birth.

This is a big part of what I focus on in my childbirth education and pregnancy support.
You’re allowed to choose what feels right for YOU ❤️👉 Save this to come back to when you need it

Have you actually told your partner or support person what you need in birth
or are you hoping they’ll just know?

Whether this is your first baby
or something you’re wanting to approach differently this time

When you feel truly supported in birth, it can help you:
✨ feel more prepared and supported
✨ feel more confident in yourself and your choices
✨ feel more grounded and in control

And it helps your partner or support person too
✨ feel confident in how to support you
✨ feel more involved and connected to the experience

✨ Try this:
Ask yourself
“What helps me feel safe when things feel intense?
Then share that with your partner or support person.

This is where real support begins ❤️

If you’ve ever felt like you can’t fully switch off during pregnancy…

even when you sit down…
even when things slow down…

you’re not alone in that.

Your body follows the rhythm it’s used to.

If your days during pregnancy are often:

moving quickly
thinking ahead
holding a lot

your body learns to stay in that pace.
And the same works the other way too.

Small, intentional moments
can begin to show your body something different.

✨ Two simple ways to begin supporting your body during pregnancy:

Throughout your day…

In between parts of your day…

before you move to the next thing…

pause where you are
and place your hand on your belly.

Let your shoulders soften.
Let your body arrive where you are.

Even just for a few seconds.

And gently remind yourself…

👉 I give myself grace here
👉 I allow myself to soften

Not to change anything…
just to notice yourself in that moment.

A small return…
again and again throughout your day.

At the end of your day…

Choose a moment where you begin to slow things down.

Dim the lights
or move into a space that feels softer.

Sit, place your hands on your belly,
and let yourself be there for a few minutes.

You might quietly repeat…

👉 I did enough today
👉 I can let myself rest

No doing.
No fixing.

Just allowing your body to experience a different pace.
Over time…

your body begins to recognise that feeling
and return to it more easily.

And that’s something you carry with you into birth.

Creating a safe space in pregnancy
can become something you return to…

a place
a moment
a feeling

that helps your body soften and settle
even in the middle of busy days…
noise…
life happening around you…

Over time, it becomes something familiar.
Something your body recognises.

If you’ve been doing a lot lately…
thinking, planning, holding everything together…
and haven’t had a moment to check in with yourself…
this is for you.

Connection can become something we don’t always noticein busy, everyday moments.
Not because anything is missing…just because your days are full.

So instead of trying to find more time…
we come back to something small.Something gentle.

✨ A simple place to begin:
Before your feet touch the floor in the morning…
place your hands on your bellyand take a quiet moment just for you.
You might softly say to yourself:
❤️I move through today with softness and grace for myself
❤️I trust myself in the way I am moving through this season
❤️I am allowed to slow down and be present in this moment

You might want to write one of these down,or keep it in your phone for a moment you need it throughout the day.

And then gently carry it with you…
into your morninginto your day
even with little ones aroundeven in the middle of everything.

It doesn’t need to be big to matter.

Sometimes the smallest moments of intentionare the ones that bring you back to yourself.

👉 Save this to come back to❤️Or share this with a mum who might need this today

It’s the weekend…
you’re pregnant…
and there’s still so much on your plate.

And you’re just getting through what needs to be done.

Things to organise
things and people needing your attention
life still moving around you

And you’re moving through your pregnancy alongside it all.

Does this sound like your weekend… but you’re not sure how to slow it down?

Because something I see often…
is mums moving through their days like this…
without really having a moment to check in with themselves.

And even when you think about preparing for birth…
it’s not always clear how to begin in a way that actually feels supportive.

So it gets pushed to the side.
Or feels like just another thing to do.

But what if it didn’t need to feel like that?

What if, instead of adding more…
you had something simple to come back to.

A way to move through your weekend that includes:

✨ a moment to slow down
✨ a simple self-care ritual
✨ creating boundaries that support you
✨ small mindset shifts that actually feel doable

Not another thing to fit in…
but a place to begin.

So instead of just getting through the weekend…
you begin to feel a little more calm, more supported, and more connected to yourself.
