There are likely to be a few surprises this week. Artistic and creative people may find this a particularly productive time, as you’ll enjoy being motivated by all that inspires!
But if you have already experienced a little adversity to some of your plans, be careful to avoid disagreements because they could lead to conflict fairly rapidly, especially on Monday, mid-week and towards next Saturday.
We could not only lay this tension at the feet of Thursday’s full moon and supermoon in Ta**us, which can bring out intense feelings, but also at several harsh planetary aspects during the week and especially towards Saturday.
However, as Uranus re-enters Ta**us you may find towards the end of the week that you gain opportunities to rectify matters that went slightly pear-shaped mid-year.
Both Mercury and Jupiter will be turning retrograde after the 10th so, if you have important contracts or projects to launch this month, try to do so before then if possible, unless you need more time to research your options.
As usual, I hope you have a fantastic week. x

There are so many go-ahead aspects this week, it would be easy to make great strides in your various projects.
And while it’ll feel good being productive, it’s in your interest to avoid rushing and making assumptions, especially on Tuesday.
Now that the sun is in Scorpio, lust for life and enjoyment of others’ company can thrive and coupled with the generally adventurous tone of the week, any activity that broadens your horizons will appeal, be this travel, study, spiritual development or socialising.
The transformative effect of Scorpio will certainly help you change those aspects of your life that you’ve outgrown, so be prepared to break into fresh territory.
Developments towards Thursday may bring a surprise… I hope it will certainly be a good one for you!

Where would you like your life to go? This is a really good time, in the dark of the moon (just before the new moon on Tuesday) to ask yourself that question. The new moon will be an excellent time to make a wish… But as always, be careful what you wish for as it will surely come true!
Monday’s conjunction between Mercury and Mars could bring significant news your way and at least the realisation that certain people and activities you are passionate about hold the most focus for you for now.
The Libran new moon on Tuesday makes some wonderful aspects that encourage health, well-being and actively looking for a sense of harmony in your life.
Neptune retrograde enters the sign it rules, Pisces on Wednesday. You may find at this time that your dreams, habits and, for some, illusions are revisited as you gain the opportunity to reconsider some of your past.
Saturday’s planetary aspects will provide a sense of stability if this is what you are looking for, especially financially or in your personal life. You’re likely to enjoy some wonderful get togethers then too, so plan ahead!
🌞These are particularly good meteor and comet watching skies because we are currently in the dark of the moon and so there is no moonlight to get in the way of your viewing. So keep your eyes peeled, especially midweek, as the Earth travels through the debris left by Halley‘s comet.
The Orionid meteors will be best viewed from the 20th to the 23rd and Comet Lemmon in the northern hemisphere on the 21st (its path coincides with the daytime in Australia which clearly does not provide much visibility for us.)

A surreal seascape at twilight…reminds me of transitory phases similar to this week’s…
Financial and personal investments are in the spotlight at the moment. It’s a good time to evaluate a commitment in either area and to research options with the long-term view in mind, because luck is on your side…
During the week, close connections with those you feel a predestined link with will appeal to you. It’s certainly a good time to celebrate the wonderful relationships in your inner circle.
On Tuesday, consider this: ‘You will be drawn to follow your heart, yet your head may say something else.’*
While these days can have huge potential for peace and healing (take the developments in the Middle East as an example), there are fragile and sensitive matters that can arise in the process. These may come to a head towards Friday and Saturday.
It’s a good time to take it easy on yourself and those around you. Focus on healing and good health and well-being with a view to expressing all the above through positive relationships and financial security.
Above all, have a good week!

Tuesday’s full moon in Aries is a spark of fire to light up all our activities. While this will feel motivational, be aware that tempers could flare as well…
The entry of Mercury in Scorpio where it joins Mars brings passions to the surface which again, on the one hand can bring a productive week our way, but may also predispose us all to intense feelings that are best expressed constructively rather than destructively.
If you love sports and the outdoors, it’s a good week to dissipate excess energy through your favourite activities.
Be innovative and willing to try something new.
An area of caring, such as looking after your own health or that of someone else’s and your domestic, family life also come into the spotlight this week. If you discover a vulnerability in any of these areas, take it as a signal to look after yourself and your own interests first so that you may as a result look after others if necessary.
The upcoming week is also a good week to sort out finances, as you’re likely to gain the information you need, so be sure to take the initiative.
Above all, enjoy your week!

The sun is currently in Libra, which invariably involves the need to find balance, peace and harmony…and tends to be an easier time of the year to do so… at the very least for Librans!
In addition, a beautiful and powerful kite formation makes this a super transformative time and combined with Mars in Scorpio, this can be a motivational time as well.
So be sure to take the initiative, but be careful as strong and passionate feelings can arise...
You may be drawn to make important decisions even if these come about because you realise you have been labouring under an illusion.
Nevertheless, you can now make long-overdue changes at the very least in your expectations both of yourself and others.
You may find some communications a little challenging this week and so keep an eye on your long-term goals and be sure to maintain common ground with those you must share responsibilities with for now.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week. x

Tomorrow’s partial solar eclipse in Virgo is also the second new moon in Virgo in a row…
This eclipse comes as the second of two eclipses as well, the first having been two weeks ago in Pisces. This is a particularly transformative phase, especially for Virgos and Pisces and anyone with a strong Virgo or Pisces signature in your chart.
Astrologically, we all now get the opportunity to take action based on the information, impressions and hopes and wishes that have surfaced over the last two to four weeks. For some of us though things are still bubbling under.
During the first new moon in Virgo a month ago you may have experienced a sense of: ‘what must be done must be done’, and now there’s the sense evolving that progress and arrangements in practical terms have to be made as a result.
For some of us, the result is the opportunity to put more structure and security in place, especially via commitments, work and health and well-being. For others, the need to let the past go to build a new structure in our lives.
The key this week and moving forward is to avoid power struggles, and to work constructively with prevailing conditions. This, from the perspective that a strong foundation can only be built based on realities and practicalities, while keeping hope and ideals alive, but without delusions and illusions.
NB: the spring equinox (in the southern hemisphere) also comes this week, which is always a wonderful opportunity to look for peace, balance and harmony in your life.
I hope you have a good week. x
Astro tips: This eclipse will be visible in New Zealand, Antarctica, parts of the Pacific and some areas of the East coast of Australia at sunrise, beginning at 5.45am Australian time. My understanding is the sun will not be eclipsed as much in Australia as in this photo - it’s for illustration only.
🌞 Never look directly at the sun, even with a partial eclipse. 🌞

There are many therapeutic aspects to the week. For some, this will mean progress in a particular part of your life, such as health and well-being. For others there will be progress with projects or a learning curve and travel for example.
Towards the end of the week, the opportunity to make a commitment or decision is likely and the more information you can gather during the week, the better for you.
We are currently between two eclipses, the second being a partial solar eclipse on the 22nd. Saturday may bring an unexpected change of plan as we sail closer towards the second of the eclipses.
This phase can involve a transformative time which will be pleasantly intense for some and for others it will involve all kinds of layers of self-development that are best approached matter-of-factly.
That said, this is fundamentally an inspiring time, so be inspired but practical too!
Why a rainbow lorikeet? This rainbow lorikeet came close and was still long enough for me to take the photo. Rainbow lorikeets are great pollinators and as such, to me symbolise the ability to maintain a healthy environment. This phase between two eclipses is an excellent time to focus on exactly that for yourself…whether you do that in your outside environment or indoors - or inside your mind and body! I hope you have a good week. x

A spectacular total lunar eclipse in Pisces will be visible in the small hours of Monday morning so, if you are a night owl, you will be able to watch the penumbral eclipse begin at 1:28am NSW time with the full eclipse beginning at 3:30am, weather permitting!
As we enter into the eclipse tunnel - the phase between one eclipse and the next (in two weeks’ time), it’s time to illuminate your path and steer yourself towards a fresh scenario.
This eclipse season is particularly potent as it kickstarts a fresh 18-year cycle. Ask yourself what you are ready to change about an arrangement you made approximately 18 years ago…
It’s time to reorganise it!
This may feel that you are letting something very precious go but rest assured this will be so that you can organise something that aligns more with the person you are now as opposed to who you were 18 years ago.
There will be a sense of necessity that pervades the week… You will either be enjoying connections with people you know are dear to your heart and therefore are necessary in your life - and on the other extreme, there may be a sense of the inevitable. There will be many shades of eventuality in between these two scenarios, depending on your own birth chart…(and who you are of course!)
Suffice to say, this eclipse season will prove to be most intense for those with a strong mutable signature in your chart (Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius).
Your best approach is to remain open to change within your own perspective principally, as this corridor of change comes from deep in your subconscious and will lead to actions that could alter your usual daily life which mostly includes your approach to work and health.
Good luck and have a great week! x
Astro details: Visibility will depend on where you are on the planet. Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia will see the total eclipse, in Sydney beginning with the penumbral eclipse at 1.28am Monday morning.

31/08/2025

As we are now firmly in Virgo season, we might expect this to be a ‘feet-on-the-ground’, earthy and straightforward time, and yet with the entry of Saturn retrograde into Pisces on 1 September, a wistful and even nostalgic and retrospective four weeks also brings the potential for an idealistic approach to life.
And so it’s important now as we lead into a potentially intense eclipse season (the first eclipse is on the 8th), that we take into account whether we are making plans based on assumptions or on realities when making long-range decisions.
For this reason, this week there will be a sense of reward for having planned carefully in the past for some, while for others a need to gain ground in a more practical way.
Monday and Tuesday potentially bring progress, especially health-wise, even if only due to information that comes your way regarding health.
Be careful with communications midweek and towards Friday and Saturday. Avoid impulsiveness as mistakes could be made…
That said, midweek could bring an upbeat connection with someone optimistic.
I do hope you have a fruitful week and remember: there are no rainbows without rain and shine (Roy T Bennett - no relation (as far as I know!)).

24/08/2025

This is a good new moon week (the new moon was in Virgo yesterday) to put ideas and plans in motion especially to do with work and health and especially if you realise you’ve outgrown patterns or routines you have become accustomed to.
Ask yourself how you might express yourself in new and invigorating ways and also how you might upgrade some of your skillsets.
During the week there are some great planetary aspects that can only further your projects. But it’s in your interest to be open to being spontaneous and to do something different.
Some projects might need more work than you had initially anticipated, but this needn’t be a dreadful thing. Just take a leaf out of the sign of the new moon: Virgo. Be practical, feet on the ground and get things as ship shape as possible (before 6th September if you can)…
In the meantime, communications on Monday may be a little more complex than you would like and developments towards Wednesday and Thursday more intense than you would have liked.
Try to see developments as opportunities to shift gear into a fresh understanding of your circumstances.
This is a particularly good time for Virgos to begin something new as the next new moon (September 22) will also be in Virgo, so you gain the double whammy of reinvigorating new energy.
That said, all zodiac signs are likely to experience a sense that there is the need to tidy up at least one area of your life, making this a good time to tie up loose ends and to prepare for the new.
I hope you have a good week. x

There was some amazing light on the horizon last week as we begin a change of season…
This week, communications you undertook last week can step ahead on Monday and Tuesday, so be sure to stay on top of important matters such as paperwork.
You may also enjoy some get-togethers or good news from people you were in touch with last week.
During the week, we also have the potential to gain a sense of revitalisation and an increase in self-belief and self-confidence, so take the initiative with your projects.
It’s a particularly positive week for focusing on health and well-being both in your physical self, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, as your efforts to improve these aspects of yourself are likely to take effect, especially midweek.
That said, if you have been unsure of your path more recently, you may experience a course correction during the week, which nevertheless will serve ultimately to get you back on track on.
The days before Saturday’s Virgo new moon will be ideal for formulating long-term ideas and plans, and the days following the new moon will be ideal for implementing plans. More about that next week! Have a good week. x
