Sit with Discomfort. ✨💚✨
Yoga isn’t just a trend filled with “love and light” or feel-good vibes.
These days, a lot of studios lean into the calming savasana, the soft music, the luxe props and while there’s nothing wrong with that, it barely scratches the surface of what yoga really is.
Because real practice? It goes deeper.
It’s not always soothing.
It’s not always Instagram worthy.
And it sure isn’t always easy.
A committed yoga practice asks for your full presence. It asks you to keep showing up even when it’s uncomfortable, even when your mind resists, even when you’d rather check out.
Yoga invites us to turn inward, to face our patterns, our reactions, our conditioning.
To notice how we breathe, how we speak, how we live.
It doesn’t promise to fix you or make you feel amazing every time you roll out your mat.
And it’s definitely not about using class as a quick-fix or a distraction from what’s really going on.
Yes, yoga can be healing.
Yes, it can bring peace.
But the deeper magic happens when we stop chasing only the “good” feelings and learn to sit with whatever shows up within us, without judgment.
Because transformation doesn’t come from comfort.
It comes from honesty. From awareness. From the willingness to meet ourselves exactly as we are.
So, how do you sit with discomfort in your practice?
What comes up when the poses get hard or when you can’t hide behind the breath?
