Practising what I preach, health & strong bodies & minds. Here I am 4 weeks into the 8 week challenge w a bunch of other people. Guided by

8 weeks more weights - more pilates - more cardio - no alcohol - clean eating - healthy mental health & good habits - sleeping and good company - I’m feeling strong & loving the challenge ♥️ 50 is getting closer for me & im ready baby 🤪

One of my Favourite teachers eXpO in Sydney this weekend said that Pilates came to her at a time in her life when things were a bit rocky, I felt emotions rise as I thought back to when I was introduced to the method, I was totally broken, broken body from a career in snowboarding on crutches & a broken heart as-well, unresolved issues. However what was a first time on a reformer w Ness soon became my medicine to get me back on track walking again & comfortable to continue sports & my work. Soon I decided to train to become a teacher w & Michele Franks as my guide/mentor as well as many others. Fast forward I still teach Pilates it’s now 18 years since that first time introduced to Pilates, I now am diploma level certified & love continuing my education. This weekend being immersed with so many other passionate teachers & amazing speakers was incredible, so much to digest.
Pilates with Rhythm & flow will help you arrive in a ‘flow state’ which I liken to riding a great wave, taking a good line on the mountain. The synergies with our body mind & spirit, can all be found with a good pilates practise.
I genuinely love teaching pilates, and I love sharing this method w so many people I teach & help. It was so awesome to chat to other teachers at the eXpO & especially Ness & Keely from Gisborne NZ. Thanks so much for a fantastic weekend.

So great to work with some young athletes today from Melbourne Propulsion Swimming Club.
Our focus was on pre pilates basic movements that challenge the deep muscles which support our body. Imbalance is there in everyone ( athlete or not ) being aware and having the capacity to slow down & tune in is very important for improved athletic performance & all over life happiness.
Such a magnificent day in the Bay 😀
