Grandfather Huachuma 🌵

Huachuma, often known as San Pedro, is more than a plant medicine. It is a teacher of the heart.

For thousands of years, Indigenous cultures of the Andes have worked with Huachuma in ceremony, not as an escape, but as a return to truth, to nature, to connection. Its spirit is gentle yet powerful, often described as carrying a masculine, grounding energy that opens the heart while keeping the mind clear.

Huachuma doesn’t pull you away from reality. It brings you deeper into it. Into the mountains, the wind, the quiet intelligence of the Earth. It teaches through presence.

Its spiritual meaning is often connected to:
• Heart-opening and emotional clarity
• Deep connection to Pachamama (Mother Earth)
• Releasing fear and reconnecting with love
• Seeing life with honesty, compassion, and simplicity

Where some medicines take you inward into visions, Huachuma invites you outward — into the living world — reminding you that healing is not separate from nature, but woven into it.

It asks for respect, intention, and humility.

And above all, it teaches that love is not something to find… but something to remember.

I have been growing my relationship with the spirit of Huachuma and it enters my space to work with energetically as well as physically.

I’ve been lovingly invited to co-host a sacred gathering alongside two truly beautiful souls and shamanic mentors, Karen & Tracey, and I feel deeply honoured to be walking this path with them.

This March, we come together in ceremony for a Peruvian Medicine Circle — a two-day, heart-centred shamanic retreat rooted in the ancient wisdom and teachings of Peru. Held on the land at The Gathering Place in North Arm, this experience is an invitation to remember who you are, to slow down, and to return to your natural rhythm with Pachamama 🌿

Guidance by experienced Western Shamans (Nusta Paqo), this intimate journey weaves together ceremony, ritual, nature and community, offering space for deep healing, reflection and soul remembrance. Through sacred practices, elemental connection, and ancestral teachings, we step onto the Shaman’s Path — reconnecting with our purpose, our gifts, and the truth held within our hearts.

We are honoured to offer a dual healing session this year. Together with my wife Phoenix, from Sacred Soul Path Intuitive Energy Therapy.

A sacred weaving of divine masculine and feminine energies, ancient earth wisdom and multidimensional healing, held in safe and grounded space.

Meet the soul energy behind Sacred Shamanic Roots 🌿

My name is Troy, and Sacred Shamanic Roots is an extension of my own journey back to self.

Over the past few years and currenly, I have deeply immersed myself in shamanic teachings, walking a path of remembrance, healing, and awakening. This journey has taken me far and wide — from the powerful vortex of Mt Shasta, to the ancient lands of Peru, and the timeless initiations held within Egypt. Each place opened me in ways I couldn’t have imagined, revealing more of my gifts, my abilities, and the responsibility of holding space with integrity and heart.

Sacred Shamanic Roots was born from this lived experience — from listening, learning, and allowing Spirit to guide the way forward.

Coming together with my beautiful wife, Phoenix of Sacred Soul Path – Intuitive Energy Therapy, feels like divine timing. Our paths, gifts, and energies weave together in a way that honours both the masculine and feminine, the earth and the ether.

Together, we are excited to begin offering shared healing spaces.

While I’m still very much working the grind fencing, I’m beginning to open slowly — with availability on Fridays and some Saturdays — allowing this work to unfold naturally and sustainably. And Phoenix will be helping me to run this page as I learn how to navigate Instagram.
