Over the past 9 months Dr Antoniou has been travelling to Townsville to assist Dr Janani Krishnan to perform paediatric robotic surgery on FNQ patients. Thanks to the Donate for DaNi campaign, these procedures will soon be able to be performed here in Cairns.

Last weekend, Dr. Antoniou was privileged to join with our incredible community at the Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation Dinner, held at the iconic Australian Armour and Artillery Museum.
A surgical robot was even brought to the event – a powerful symbol of what we're working toward together.
Together we raised over $839,000 for the Donate for DaNi project – a visionary step forward in bringing cutting-edge surgical care to our region.
This is more than just technology – it’s about healthcare equity for regional communities. We feel honoured to be a part of this remarkably generous community 💙

1,000 Robotic Assisted Surgeries!

Last week our own Dr Stefan Antoniou celebrated a major milestone, successfully completing 1,000 robotic procedures. Robotic technology has revolutionised urological surgery improving patient recovery through minimally invasive surgery.

Device Technolgies were on hand with cakes to mark this special occasion. Congratulations Dr Antoniou, that's one impressive record!

There were smiles on all the faces in our waiting room this afternoon, as the Easter Bunny did a quick tour of duty. He even hopped behind the front counter and left basket of joy for the team!😍

Carers across our community are often invisible but do so much to support the lives of many.

Supporting carers who work with those with urological conditions is an important part of what we do at Northern Urology.

Yesterday our superstar nurse practitioner, Marco Hake spent time with the wonderful team of carers from Endeavour Foundation, skilling them up on catheter care.

As we continue to experience a heatwave across North Queensland, it's important to remember to stay hydrated.

The average person can sweat up to two litres in an hour of physical activity. Spending lots of time in air-conditioning also leads to dehydration.

Watch your urine for clues and remember to replace the liquids you sweat. WATER IS THE KEY! This summer make sure you're drinking plenty of it!

Due to the impending arrival of Tropical Cyclone Jasper, all clinics at IMS Specialist Suites will be CLOSED on Wednesday, 13th December. Our reception team will reach out if you have appointments scheduled for that day. ☎️
