We are very proud that our very own Raven who will be presenting at this very important event to build awareness regarding safely and preparation for our up and coming wet season, we all need to be prepaid, and that can be especially difficult for those living with a disability, an illness or the aged.

Get ready for the wet season at the Caravonica Family Fun Day!

This new community event brings together families, emergency services and local organisations to help everyone prepare for the wet season - while having plenty of fun along the way.

Learn how to build a proper sandbag wall, find out how to service your generator safely, and visit our Community Connections Tent to talk about how we can strengthen community resilience together.

Bring the kids to join Birdie for yoga and relaxation activities designed to help them stay calm in stressful situations, and meet the Fire and Ambulance crews, State Emergency Service - Far Northern Region, and Cairns Regional Council --the first to respond when disaster strikes.

There’ll be face painting, a jumping castle, live entertainment, and plenty to eat with a pizza truck, coffee and donut van, and ice-cream van on site.

📢 We've updated the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2025-26.

The Pricing Arrangement and Price Limits lists the price limits for supports and any requirements related to claiming those supports. We regularly make changes to these documents to ensure that pricing and claiming guidance is in line with current policy.

The updates take effect on 24 November 2025.

By sharing this information earlier, we're helping to ensure:

👉 participants and families have more time to plan their funding

👉 providers have more time to prepare their services.

We have also released a new Operational Guideline for Therapy Supports.

REMINDER - Meeting THIS Thursday 16 October for Providers.

The Cairns Disability Network (CDN) is a group of Therapists, Providers, Supports and Services who link together for a 7am meeting on the 3rd Thursday of each month

Where: Spinal Life. 2-4 Smith St, Cairns North. Meeting room right by reception, ground floor. 7am.

New and current providers/services/supports welcome to attend!

We would love to hear about your provider work, support and services, upcoming events, resources, disability accommodation, and opportunities and information to benefit people with disability and those that support them in the NDIS and Disability sector in the Cairns region.

A great way to meet other providers, you can attend just once, or become a regular, all very casual. Meeting usually finishes by 8-8.30, but can leave at anytime if you have work commitments.

It's all about networking Hope to see you there!
