✨ CONNECT & PAINT — A Lesson From Myself ✨

I went to a Powerhouse Collective “Connect and Paint” event yesterday at Limberlost Nursery, hosted by the gorgeous girls from
We were given a sample artwork to inspire us, and then encouraged to make it our own.

Well… I got schooled by myself yesterday. BIG TIME. 😂

I sat next to a Graphic Artist and a Makeup Artist, and suddenly I felt like I needed to be “better,” just because of who I was sitting beside.
Cue my colours not blending, my shading not shading… and then Debbie Downer arrived 😒 (no disrespect to any Debbies!).

When I left, I called my husband and told him how disappointed I was in my painting.
He said:
“Pam, you don’t paint often. You can’t expect mind-blowing stuff when it’s not something you do regularly.”
🤯 Touché.

So on the drive home, I reminded myself of all the things I am great at:
✨ I am great Mum
✨ I am a great Partner
✨ I am a great Cook
✨ I am a great Energy Healer
✨ I am a great Listener
✨ I am a great Teacher/Leader
✨ I am a great Friend
✨ I am a great Learner
✨ I am a great Fisherwoman
✨ I am a great Laugher
✨ I am a great Host
✨ I am a great Driver
✨ I am a great Worker
✨ I am a great Organiser
… and the list went on.

When my husband got home he said, “That’s amazing — you’re being way too hard on yourself, Pam.”

💎 Moral of the story:
Comparison steals your joy.
Being hard on yourself achieves nothing.
Your art, your growth, your magic — it’s yours. No one else’s.

🦋 To the lovely ladies at my table: thank you for encouraging me through my wobble and helping me find what my art was in the moment.

Arrived in beautiful Malanda early this morning - oh so lush and serene up here 🥰
Up-skilling myself with my beautiful energy healing and doing Stepping Beyond Your Reiki Modality with Tracey from The Little Healing Space For You. A lovely small group of ladies, who are all welcoming and supportive of where we are all at. Thank you to Suzanne for opening up her beautiful piece of paradise for us to experience another level of living in vibrational alignment with our inner authentic selves.
Looking forward to the unfolding of day 2 tomorrow.

• Pause. Feel that calm settling in?

• Nice. Let your shoulders relax.

• Notice your heart rate easing.
