🌿 Welcoming Sarah to the SSS team!

We're really proud to introduce Sarah, our newest team member and registered nurse, based right here on the Atherton Tablelands.

Sarah is now available to provide NDIS nursing support locally, which means participants can access quality clinical care that's consistent, personal, and close to home.

She can support with:
🩺 Managing health conditions and complex care needs
💊 Medication management and reviews
📋 Health management plan development and review
🤝 Upskilling support workers to ensure consistent care
❤️ Coordinating with GPs, specialists, and your wider support team

For support coordinators — if you have participants on the Tablelands with nursing support funded in their plan, we'd love to connect.
For participants and families — if you're not sure whether nursing support is something you can access, we're happy to have a simple conversation about what's possible.

We're hiring a Team Leader in Mareeba 🌿

This is a step-up role for someone who knows disability support from the inside and is ready to do more than just show up for shifts.

As a Disability Services Team Leader with Select Support Services, you'll be the person your team leans on. You'll lead a group of Support Workers, stay close to participants and their care, and make sure everything runs smoothly day to day. It's a hands-on leadership role, you'll still get out on the floor but you'll also be the one keeping the team accountable, supported, and moving in the right direction.

What the role looks like:

• Leading and supporting a team of Disability Support Workers
• Checking in with participants regularly and making sure their care is on track
• Overseeing documentation, incident reporting, and compliance
• Helping recruit, onboard, and train new team members
• Jumping in on support shifts when needed to stay connected to care delivery
• Driving quality and continuous improvement across the team

What we're looking for:

• Someone with real experience in disability support — you know what good care looks like
• Confidence leading a team, even when things get tricky
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance and e-Learning modules completed
• A reliable car with comprehensive insurance

Experience in challenging behaviours, high intensity supports, or a leadership/management background is a big plus.
This is a permanent part-time role based in Mareeba, classified under the SCHADS Award at Level 2.3.

This is hands-on, meaningful work, helping real people in your community live the life they choose.

As a Support Worker with Select Support Services, your days might look like helping someone get ready in the morning, heading out to appointments, working on goals together, or just being a steady, reliable presence in someone's week. Every participant is different, and that's what keeps this work interesting.

What you'll actually be doing:
✔️Supporting participants with daily living and personal care
✔️Helping people work towards their NDIS goals
✔️Building genuine, trusting relationships — not just ticking boxes
✔️Getting out and about in the community

What we need from you:
✔️Current First Aid & CPR certificates
✔️NDIS Worker Screening clearance
✔️A reliable car with comprehensive insurance
✔️A genuine interest in people and a good attitude
✔️A Cert III in Individual Support is a bonus, but not essential, we care more about who you are than what's on paper.
