The ARC Creative's stories went from the page to the stage at this afternoon's Stories Alive showcase! 🌟

Creativity, colour and smiles filled the room as the team showed just how much they can achieve in one week of creative development alone! A huge shout out to everyone involved for putting on a spectacular show. 📚🎭

Something special is taking shape at Bulmba-ja this month.

Stories Alive is a new creative development showcase bringing two ARC Disability Services published children’s books by regional artists with disabilities to life: Jack the Singing Dog by Mel Egan and Lucky the Little Bird by Imogen Lambeth.

Developed by ARC and JUTE, the project supports artists with disabilities to collaborate with professional theatre-makers in creating new work for young audiences.

The ARC Creatives are busy rehearsing and prop making for their upcoming performance of The Magnificent Danny & Dazzle! 🤩

The play will hit the stage at the Cairns Children’s Festival on Sunday 17th May at the Flecker Lawn in the Botanical Gardens a low-sensory environment, the performance is designed to be welcoming and accessible for audiences of all ages. 🎭 Stay tuned for more information leading up to the event!
