Every Therapist Needs to Feel What They Give

As therapists, we spend countless hours working on other people’s bodies…
releasing tension, restoring function, improving movement — but how often do we jump on the table and allow ourselves to feel the very techniques we use?

Being a receiver isn’t a luxury…
It’s essential for mastery.

When we feel the pressure.
When we experience the subtle adjustments.
When we notice what creates ease vs. what creates guarding…

We gain a deeper level of understanding that no textbook, course, or anatomy lesson can teach.

It reminds us that:

✅ Touch is communication
✅ Technique is felt just as much as applied
✅ The nervous system responds to safety, not force
✅ Sensitivity is a superpower in this craft
✅ Mastery comes from both sides of the table

I’m constantly learning. Constantly feeling.
Because the body is the greatest teacher.

We don’t just fix bodies —
we listen, we learn, and we evolve with every single session.

Here’s to staying a student…
even while we serve as the therapist. 🙌
