๐ฑWhat if we stopped asking โIs this allowed?โ and started asking โWhatโs possible for childrenโs play?โ๐ฑ
This July, weโre bringing together educators, play workers, play advocates and community leaders in the Cairns region for Playing Out โ a professional learning day designed to reimagine play and challenge the limits that restrict it.
This is not just another sit-and-listen conference. Itโs a day to step outside, challenge the limits around childrenโs play, and explore what becomes possible when we give play the space it deserves.
You will hear from inspiring speakers including Angus Gorrie & Isaiah Tueta from The Outsiders, Jonny Marshall from FNQ Nature Quest, Bec Burch and Hannah Powell form Bush Kindy Australia, along with other guest contributors sharing insights and emerging conversations in play.
To begin the day, you can choose from optional early morning sessions including mindfulness in nature, yoga, or rock climbing. ๐๐ง๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ
And weโll finish the day with time to connect, reflect and share ideas over drinks, with an optional shared dinner. Because when passionate people come together around play, new possibilities emerge.
If you care about protecting childhood, championing play and creating environments where children can truly thrive, this day is for you.
