Whilst Opal Holdings were out completing an industrial job this week, some of the branches we retrieved ended up helping more than just the worksite — they’ve now become part of a wildlife rescue set-up for a juvenile Koel needing care. 🐦

With the recent storms across the region, it’s a good reminder to keep an eye out for injured or displaced wildlife. Sometimes a quick check can make all the difference.

If you see any wildlife needing assistance, please reach out to Gladstone Wildlife who can connect you directly with experienced local carers.

🚨 STOLEN EQUIPMENT – CALLIOPE / DAWSON HIGHWAY AREA 🚨

A Zinfra Vehicle was robbed yesterday near the Calliope Station turnoff on the Dawson Highway.

The suspects were seen driving a black tray Toyota LandCruiser (QLD Rego 811-GHS) with equipment loaded on the back.

👨‍🔧 Two males were in the vehicle.

🛣️ Last seen heading towards Calliope, possibly crossing the river through Black Gate area.

Police have been notified but any information, sightings, or dashcam footage would be greatly appreciated.
