Great news!
If you’re someone who has been striving to get to 10000 steps a day and feeling like it’s impossible, you can pause and take a breath!
New research is showing that its the first 7000 steps that really make the difference to your health and that pushing much past that, doesn’t give you much ‘bang for your buck’ so to speak 🙃
So the moral to the story:
> If you’re someone who sits all day - get moving with a more modest step goal, maybe 3000-7000 for significant health gains 🤙
> If you’re someone like me who usually achieves >10000 you can stop stressing when you ‘only’ get to 6000-7000 some days 😉😝

Extra walking is even better, but also risk injury.
