Role Ambiguity for Support Coordinators versus Psychosocial Coaching……Making it clearer. With the advent of the role of psychosocial coach (PSC) is there a dividing line between that role and the traditional support coordinator (SC). On the NDIS website, it seems to be clear that the PSC refers explicitly to the participant’s mental health condition as the reference point. In NDIS plans, often they’re combined and in situations where it could be interpreted either way it becomes a bit blurry. So if a participant has a non-mental health primary disability yet there are mental health considerations, then the situation becomes blurry. When I have enquired I have received different answers. What are your thoughts? What have been your experiences in differentiating between SC and PSC?
