About us

Rosalee Dewar is a physiotherapist with over 20 years clinical experience working with infants and children and the founder of Sunshine Kids and Infants Physiotherapy (SKIP). Rosalee is passionate about working with children and families to reach their potential and achieve their goals by delivering evidence-based therapy.

Rosalee completed her physiotherapy undergraduate degree with honours at UQ, holds a postgraduate diploma in neurological rehabilitation (Paeds) and is a current PhD student at the University of Queensland (UQ). She has worked in paediatrics both interstate and overseas, in a number of settings, from acute and neonatal intensive care to community therapy services for children 0-18 years. In her last clinical post Rosalee spent seven years as the senior physiotherapist in a paediatric allied health unit for children 0-18 years.

As well as her clinical roles Rosalee teaches into the undergraduate physiotherapy course in peadiatrics at UQ. As part of the Children’s Motor Control Research Collaboration (CMCRC) at UQ, Rosalee is investigating postural control assessment and intervention in children with a particular interest in children with cerebral palsy. Rosalee has presented the results of her research and published at national and international level. Rosalee is driven to explore research that can be translated into the clinic to improve outcomes of children receiving physiotherapy interventions.
