End of year fatigue hits different as a therapist 🫣

It’s not just tiredness, it’s the full body reminder that we’ve held space, adjusted plans, written reports, listened deeply, advocated fiercely, and poured so much of ourselves into the people we support.

As December rolls in, I always notice that invisible weight. The mental tabs left open, the emotional load that is taking its toll, and the way my brain and body needs a lot more energy to keep doing the things that I’ve been doing the whole year. 😵‍💫

But I’m trying to remind myself that I can love this work and still need rest, and that I can be a great therapist and also be a human with limits.

If you’re also feeling the end of year wobble too, just remember to be kind to your mind and your body and that we’re allowed to soften a little as we roll into the finish line ✨🌻🌱

Many neurodivergent people move through the day doing lots of invisible work - the social scripts, the sensory overstimulation, the effort to seem calm 🌿

The goal isn’t to mask better. It’s to feel safe enough not to need it 💫

Sometimes being kind to yourself means slowing down, saying no, or giving yourself the same understanding you offer to everyone else 💖
