From tomorrow (Friday 11 November), Queensland's COVID-19 traffic light system will move to AMBER. 🚦

There are currently moderate rates of COVID-19 community transmission and Queensland is entering a new wave.

While the traffic light is amber, we recommend you wear a mask:
👉 in healthcare settings
👉 indoors, if you can’t socially distance
👉 on public transport
👉 if you are older or medically at risk
👉 if you’re around people who are vulnerable to COVID-19.

Stay home if you’re sick, maintain good hygiene and keep up-to-date with your vaccinations.

Take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) if you get COVID-19 symptoms – or every two days, if someone in your household has COVID-19.

If you get COVID-19:
👉 register your RAT result
👉 stay home until you’re well again
👉 wear a mask for 7 days after your test
👉 avoid visiting hospitals, aged care or disability care for 7 days after your test, unless you are receiving care
👉 ask household members to closely monitor symptoms.

You should always wear a mask if required by a healthcare provider, venue, or household.

BREAKING: Queensland is entering a new wave so our COVID-19 traffic light system will switch from green to amber from tomorrow on advice from the Chief Health Officer.

It is recommended that we wear masks in healthcare settings, on public transport and rideshares, indoors where you cannot socially distance, if you're older or at risk, and if you are around a vulnerable person.

It’s time to be alert – not alarmed.

Do you have a sore throat or any flu like symptoms? If you do, please have a RAT test to determine if you have covid. Locally in past week the number of cases of covid has risen again.
If you need to get a RAT Test, free tests can be picked up from Caloundra Hospital for HCC holders, or purchased from your local pharmacy.
If you test positive to Covid remember to log your result on qld health site and make a telehealth appointment with your GP, as you maybe eligible to be prescribed anti-virals.
If any flu like symptoms your Doctor will offer you a telehealth consult, and arrange to consult in person with you if required.
Please stay home if unwell, and wear a mask when leaving home.

📣 New COVID-19 traffic light system 🚥

Living with COVID-19 means recognising and responding when the risk increases and decreases.

The traffic light system is designed to make it easier for Queenslanders to understand the current level of risk posed by COVID-19, and take sensible protective measures. 😷

The three levels are green, amber and red — with each colour representing different advice on how to protect yourself and others.

When advice changes, we will update our social media channels and website to reflect what level we are in.

🟢 Currently, we are in green.
