“In every farewell, there is love. In every moment of care, there is meaning.”

Today, we quietly celebrate 22 years of caring for families across the Macarthur and Greater Sydney community.

Since our first service in November 2003, every family that has entrusted us with their loved one has shaped who we are. Your stories, your strength, and your vulnerability have guided the way we care and reminded us why compassion, dignity and gentleness matter so deeply.

As a family-owned funeral home, supported by a dedicated local team, we remain committed to providing personal, thoughtful care—one family at a time.

To our families, our community, and our team:

Thank you for your trust, your kindness, and for allowing us the honour of standing beside you for the past 22 years.

Your support continues to inspire everything we do.

Christmas of Remembrance Memorial Service

Together with Forest Lawn Memorial, Vanessa Leigh Celebrant, and Sr Anne Martin, we warmly invite you to join us for our Christmas of Remembrance Memorial Service — a gentle and meaningful evening to pause, reflect, and remember those who hold a special place in our hearts.

Tuesday 9 December 2025 | 6:00 pm
North Chapel, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Leppington

During the service, a visual presentation will be shared in tribute to our loved ones — a moment to honour their memory and celebrate the love that continues to connect us.

If you would like to include a photo of someone dear to you, please RSVP and send your images via the link below or to erin@kenneallysfunerals.com.au by Tuesday 2 December.

At the conclusion of the service, we welcome you to join us for light refreshments and quiet conversation.

On Friday, Gerald had the privilege of joining the Grief Care team as they helped serve more than 500 meals at the Sydney Street Feast, held in the forecourt of St Mary’s Cathedral.

For seven years, Grief Care has stood alongside its partners across the Archdiocese, offering warmth, dignity, and human connection to those facing hardship. Sydney Street Feast is a simple gathering with a powerful purpose — bringing people together to share a meal, enjoy music, and remind one another that no one should walk alone.

Taking place on 14 November, ahead of World Day of the Poor, the event reflects the heart of our community: compassion in action and care made tangible.

We’re deeply grateful to have been able to contribute in a small way to such a meaningful day of service and solidarity.

It has recently been announced that from next year, it will be illegal to release balloons in New South Wales. This change, introduced through the Protection of the Environment Operations Amendment (Balloons) Bill 2024, aims to protect our environment, wildlife, and waterways — a small but important step in caring for the world our loved ones leave behind.

At Kenneally’s Funerals, we understand that for many families, balloon releases have been a meaningful way to express love, remembrance, and letting go. While this change may feel like the end of a familiar tradition, there are many other beautiful and heartfelt ways to honour someone’s memory — each just as symbolic and personal.

Here are some thoughtful alternatives:

• Plant a native tree or flowering shrub in a place that holds meaning — a living tribute that grows with time.
• Write messages or memories on biodegradable paper and place them in a memory box or beneath the tree.
• Create a candlelight or lantern moment at home or by the graveside, bringing family together in quiet reflection.
• Scatter flower petals, leaves, or native seeds — gentle, natural gestures that symbolise release and renewal.
• Host a small gathering, share stories, and celebrate your loved one through music, photos, and connection.

These moments remind us that remembrance doesn’t need to reach the sky — it can bloom right here, in the hearts and hands of those who carry on the love.

We’re always here to help families create memorials that are meaningful, respectful, and personal — honouring both your loved one and the world they cherished.
