Part-Time Gardener – Work Under an Expert!
Are you passionate about gardening and looking for a rewarding part-time role? Sunnyside House, a well-established residential aged care facility with large, beautiful grounds, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Gardener 3-4 days per week to join our team.

About the Role
As our gardener, you'll help maintain our expansive grounds, ensuring they remain a welcoming and tranquil space. Duties include:
• Lawn care and maintenance
• Pruning, weeding, hedging, planting - general garden upkeep and beautification
• Gardening tools and machinery maintenance
• Resident interaction
What We’re Looking For
• Some horticultural or arboriculture experience beneficial
• A keen eye for detail and pride in your work
• Understanding of OH&S requirements
• Reliability and a positive attitude
• Current Victorian drivers license
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Must be physically fit

🌿 Calling all green thumbs! 🌿

Our lovely gardener Frank at Sunnyside is on a mission — and we need your help! 💚

We’re looking to grow more rhubarb in our gardens for our wonderful residents to enjoy, and we’re hoping some of our amazing community might have a few rhubarb corms they’d be happy to donate. 🌱🥰

If you’ve got any spare corms or plants you’re willing to part with, we’d be so incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps us bring more joy (and maybe even a few rhubarb crumbles! 😉) into our residents’ lives.

Donations can be dropped off at Sunnyside or feel free to message us and we’ll work something out!

🌞 Join Our Volunteer Team at Sunnyside House! 🌞

Sunnyside House Inc. is on the lookout for warm-hearted volunteers to help enrich the lives of our residents through social connection and meaningful activities.

We welcome volunteers with either regular or casual availability who are interested in supporting activities such as:
🎨 Craft sessions
🎹 Playing music (we have a piano!)
🗣️ Friendly chats and companionship
🎲 Games and group activities

We are also seeking a volunteer bus driver to assist residents with attending appointments and outings. (Some training requirements apply for this role.)

In addition, our Sunnyside Op Shop would love some bright and bubbly volunteers to help out in-store and bring positive energy to our wonderful community space.

Whether you can spare just a few hours every now and then or are looking for something more regular, your time will make a real difference.

What an absolutely beautiful day to venture out in the Sunnyside bus down to Peterborough to check how rough the sea was. We came back through Timboon with a few disappointed residents when we never had enough time to call into the Ice Creamery. A great afternoon was had by all 🌞🥰
