Confusion at this world reigns inside me.

I moved to Bondi when I left my parents home in 1987 and Bondi has always felt like home since this time. I return often and have watched it grow and change over these years.

The first is a photo I found of Bondi some time ago. It reminds me now of what lies underneath….the land.

My heart and soul sends out love to all the community…it is only love that will overcome this.

The heat of summer has arrived and so we transition our diet to the seasons.
Lighter foods that are nutrient dense, full of vitality, colour and taste.
Add in nuts and seeds, extra virgin olive oil, avocado, loads of herbs = flavour and nutrition ✅

In the latest N&B Journal article I wrote about ‘The many faces of Adult Acne’.
Often we blame acne on hormones and you may (or may not) be surprised to read that at the heart of acne is your gut health.

Acne is a symptom that causes much distress for sufferers and can impact quality of life as frustration, embarrassment, anxiety and even depression can set in when struggling with the onset of adult acne. It can come as a surprise when in our teen years our skin may have been clear (or reasonably clear) but then appeared in force in late teens or 20’s, possibly even later. Often our hormones are blamed as ‘flares’ may occur around menstrual cycles. However a deeper understanding of acne can demonstrate that the acne is a response to deeper imbalances at the gut level, which may only be exacerbated by changing hormonal levels.
