Often times the voice in our heads telling us we are unworthy, lazy, a shame to the family, didn’t actually come from our own voice.

Saying your own affirmations can counteract what you’ve been told by telling yourself who you are NOW despite what you’ve heard others say about you.

It is such a simple action that can profoundly change your life!

Repeat after me ➡️ THOUGHT DURING MEDITATION IS NORMAL AND NATURAL!

I teach non-religious meditation which is commonly westernised, can be more relatable, also has scientific backing on how it elevates overall lifestyle. I am not a religious person but I am a bloody spiritual one!

The origins of meditation are so, so ancient and have been found in many different parts of the world. I will always honour the origins of such a sacred tool/way of life and I am not trained in any kind of religious meditation but I have done trainings with Tibetan Buddhist Monks who teach religious meditations; those were more mind, body, spirit connections synchronised whereas non-religious meditation DO have those elements but the main focus is to live presently, in the now. Becoming the observer and the seer synchronised.

Please note: that expressing the depth of the difference is not long enough for an Instagram post. I will always encourage people to seek out trained folk in religious meditation if that’s what they want to seek out.

HELLO 2023 💥

I started this year a little different to past years I was in bed before midnight, I woke up and had a super slow, not hungover, morning.

My partner and I did a 2hr hike, walking through a beautiful mountain down to the water and back up again.

For someone who experiences FOMO, it was actually easy to be in solitude. I KNEW that I would be happier, more content, and not having hang-xiety.

Basically, what happened was I really honed in on the BIG PICTURE instead of instant gratification. I first check in with how I’m feeling overall, think about the upcoming events, the people who will be there, I check my period tracker, then I meditate to see what’s going on deeper within - I plan my holiday period in November to ensure I get the best start to a whole new year.

Setting some goals always comes with distinct words that I turn into affirmations. For January these are my affirmations! The foundational month of the year.

My big focus for the first quarter is to deepen my spiritual practice and rituals, all these affirmations hit my spiritual self as well as so many other positives. Spiritual health is KEY 🔑

Meet my medicine drum ✨ isn’t she beautiful! I made her myself.

It’s goat hide, brings out the shadow work her heart beat sounds so beautiful when I play.

Figuring out that working with my hands affects me my mind, body and spirit in conjunction was life shifting. Have you ever had one of those? Something that seems so small have such a great impact?

This drum has carried me through all emotions, just like in shadow work. Shadow work isn’t always suffocatingly the bad/dark things, it can also represent the happy/joyous moments within the bad stuff - kind of like healing inception 😅.

My drum reminds me that we are complex, intertwined in so many things, she reminds me to first sit with things not initially trying to label it just seeing how it feels, where it feels.

Are you able to welcome the shift? ✨

You’ve heard people say “you can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results”? Well, you can’t expect to be the same person when you’re trying to be a different person!

What would you rather: to keep being stuck in the same cycle that weighs you down OR go through some discomfort to break free from the weight of the damaging cycle?

If you’re here I can assume which one you chose. It takes patience, self love, and forgiveness to reinvent yourself. This isn’t something that will happen overnight but starting is already one step ahead into a life you want, a life you deserve.

I assist folk like you who feel a little stuck and don’t know what to do when the discomfort comes, I believe in peoples own potential so much so that it’s one of the reasons why I fell in deep passion with holistic counselling and empowerment coaching! Having someone believe in you changed my life and I know it can change yours too. Be open to welcoming in your shift, it’s totally worth it.

WHAT’S HOLISTIC COUNSELLING? Where conventional counselling connects only to the barriers of the mind, holistic counselling views the mind, body, and spirit.

WHAT DO I DO as a holistic counsellor? We co-create a safe space, we both need to feel safe and that’s why we co-create. I actively listen, I hear, see and feel what you need depending on the situation. The client leads the way, you lead, this is done by you telling me what you need/want and if you’re unsure that’s why I assist through powerful questions and assisting with self empowerment through changing behavioural patterns that benefit YOU and what YOU WANT.

WHAT I CURRENTLY LOVE and feel called to do ~ is assisting you through your stress, if you have tight muscles, lack of clarity, trouble sleeping, stuck in the same pattern that’s where I come in. If you can’t seem to figure out what you need in life thats where I come in, if you feel called to look into your mind, body and spirit that’s where I come in. When you’ve come to a point where you can’t seem to push past a roadblock in life that’s where I come in.
