The Connected Purpose counsellor, Glennis Church, will be supporting participants at this powerful event hosted by Wurrumay Collective in collaboration with Sisters In Spirit Aboriginal Corporation this is a free event, make sure you register using the link, https://Sistersinspirit.eventbrite.com.au

We are honoured to be partnering with Wurrumay Collective to host this powerful and culturally safe forum for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

This free event is a space for truth-telling, healing, and connection, centred around raising awareness of domestic and family violence. Together, we want to build a strong community grounded in understanding and solidarity.

We are proud to welcome guest speaker Paula McGrady from the Canberra R**e Crisis Service – Nguru Program, who will speak about the important work being done to support our communities in this space.

Each participant will have the opportunity to create their own beautiful hand-poured candle with owner Tash Kaiser to take home.

Due to the sensitive nature of the conversations we’ll be having, we’ve partnered with Glennis Church of The Connected Purpose, to be present throughout the forum to provide culturally safe emotional support.

The Connected Purpose is an Aboriginal-owned and operated counselling service in the ACT.

TCP provides one-on-one and relationship counselling, cultural supervision and debriefing, employee assistance programs, group work, and presentations.

TCP offers outreach services, allowing sessions to be conducted at a location convenient to the client.

The organisation employs a male and female counsellor who deliver culturally sensitive and responsive and trauma-informed services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal individuals.

All organisational staff, particularly those working with Aboriginal people, are encouraged to reach out for support.

The Connected Purpose is at the National Sorry Day bridge walk in Canberra today. If you’re in town, come brave the wet conditions and take part. We will be here for a yarn until 1:30pm.

Attending an evening with event in Sydney in Feb was a dream come true for me. Having completed the Compassionate Inquiry year long training in 2023, which was developed by Gabor and and experiencing live zoom sessions with Gabor, will not compare to seeing him live. A powerful and transformative night!
