🎄✨ Happy Holidays - 2025! ✨🎄

As the year draws closer to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible clients, families, support coordinators, suppliers, referrers, and community partners. It’s been a big year of connection, growth, laughter, learning, and doing what we love which is supporting people to participate fully in the lives they choose. Thank you for trusting us with your OT needs, we value all the work have and will do with you in the future!

And of course, to our team. Your compassion, hard work, creativity, and care are what make this work so special, and we couldn't challenge the status quo without you.

💛 Holiday Closure Reminder: 💛
Our office will be closed from Friday 22nd December and will reopen on Monday 5th January. During this time, our team will be taking a well-earned break to rest, recharge, and spend time with loved ones. Please note that we are still accepting referrals in both the aged care and NDIS space so feel free to send any enquires through to our admin at admin@leadinghealth.com.au as usual!

In case of emergency, please contact 000 or attend your nearest Emergency Department.

Our refreshed logo reflects our passion for mobility, access, and independence, and the heart we bring to every piece of equipment we script and every person we support.

♿️🔧 OT in Action means… improving accessibility!🤸‍♂️💕

This continuing on with , we’re highlighting another important aspect of what OT can look like, and sometimes, that means a tape measure, a ramp, and a whole lot of creative problem-solving!

Accessibility isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why our team is often out in the community, measuring steps for safe ramp installation, assessing environments for mobility, and matching the right equipment to the right person in the right place.

Earlier this week, we were also lucky enough to have Paul from Sleep Electric join us at the clinic for an equipment demo from his mobile show room! As OTs it's our job to find ways to make the impossible possible, and with the help of companies like Sleep Electric, we can trial assistive technology without the client needing to travel. Put simply? Life gets a whole lot more accessible!

This is what OT in Action looks like: making environments safer, equipment smarter, and participation possible — one barrier at a time.

📚🔍 OT in Action means… lifelong learning!✍🧠

AT LHS, we believe that great outcomes starts with curious minds and continual professional development! That’s why lifelong learning isn’t just encouraged — it’s embedded in our culture.

To us, 'OT in Action' isn’t just what happens in sessions, it’s also what happens behind the scenes. It’s trialing equipment in showrooms. It’s asking questions during in-services. It’s attending conferences and learning from the best. It’s being challenged, staying curious, and doing the work to keep growing.

While we are thrilled to spotlight this during OT week 2025, we are proud to say that at LHS, ongoing development is one of our core values — and it’s why we’ve built W.I.S.E. (Weekly In-Service Education) Wednesdays into the fabric of our week.

Every Wednesday, we come together to present on different disabilities, core skills and more, because great outcomes start with great thinking.

OT in Action, to us, means showing up with knowledge, with heart, and with a drive to keep getting better.

🧠✨ OT in Action means… building capacity.🥯🍳

At its core, occupational therapy is about doing. Supporting people to participate in the tasks and activities that give life meaning — safely, confidently, and independently — whatever that looks like for them.

This might mean practicing how to cook a meal, bake a favourite recipe, navigate a social setting, or even safely use a razor. These aren’t just tasks, they’re steps toward self-esteem, autonomy, and inclusion.

Every photo we share this week captures a moment of growth, of someone trying something new or regaining confidence in something familiar. These are everyday wins and they’re worth celebrating!

Because when we talk about OT in Action, we’re really talking about people in action, living, learning, and building capacity, one meaningful moment at a time.

🎉 It’s OT Week! 🎉
This year’s theme, “OT in Action,” is all about showcasing the many ways occupational therapists create meaningful change — in therapy rooms, in teams, and in the wider community.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing glimpses into what OT in Action means to us, from the way we support our clients, to how we grow as professionals, to the values we carry beyond our work.

🩷 To start the week, we’re spotlighting community and connection. On Friday, our team was honoured to attend a Pink Ribbon Breakfast in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation , hosted by Collective Pathways.

The event brought together survivors, and health professionals, and stakeholders, with powerful guest speakers sharing their lived experiences with strength and vulnerability.

It was a privilege to be part of such an important event — and a reminder that OT in Action also means showing up, standing beside, and supporting causes that align with the heart of our profession: participation, connection, and dignity for all.
