How the right diet can control diabetes and reduce its massive economic costs.

It is estimated that more than 350 million people worldwide are affected by type 2 diabetes, which imposes a significant cost on healthcare systems. For instance, in Australia, the economic impact of type 2 diabetes is estimated to be A$10.3 billion, whereas in the United States, it could exceed US$174 billion.

Three field experts recently published an article on The Conversation. It highlights the impact of type 2 diabetes on patients and economies. It suggests that a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, can significantly reduce the effects of diabetes on both patients and economies.
