Let's meet the newest member of the Humans:Connecting team

‘Hi, I’m Dan Rave. I’m a Dad, transport professional and a life-long music lover. I’m the newest member of the Humans:Connecting team.

Connection has always been at the centre of everything I do. In my management work, I’ve seen how real progress only happens when people feel heard, seen and supported. The best systems, teams, and projects all come down to one thing: people connecting with purpose.

That’s why Humans:Connecting speaks to me. I’ve spent years helping build teams, transport networks, and even a men’s support group, all with the same goal of bringing people together. Whether it’s through storytelling, sound, or strategy, I’m drawn to the spaces where people feel seen, valued and understood.

I’ll be supporting the team in my spare time, helping shape the stories and sounds you see and hear. But for me, it’s never just about the content — it’s about belonging.

Because when people feel seen , heard and connected, loneliness starts to lose its hold. And that’s something I’ll always want to be part of.’

We’re all so glad to have you on the team, Dan! We can’t wait for the world to hear your skills on the next season of the Humans:Connecting podcast…

Mixed metaphor alert: Put your own mask on first, because you can’t pour from an empty cup.

It’s tangled but true — especially if you’re someone who cares for or leads others.

If you’re supporting someone through loneliness or any other challenge, it’s hard to help them find what you’re missing yourself.

You simply can’t give what you don’t have.

The Connection Starter Course helps you understand your own connection needs, so you can show up with clarity and care — without losing yourself in the process.

You’ll create a Connection Plan: your personal guide to staying steady, grounded, and meaningfully connected when life stretches you thin.

It’s not about fixing loneliness.
It’s about finding the connection that sustains you.

✨ Real. Sustainable. Empowering. Yours.

You have workflows. Targets. Systems.

But what’s holding your people together?

In many organizations, connection is treated like a bonus, something that's nice to have or something that will sort itself out.

But connection isn't optional. It's what allows collaboration to flow and your people to stay.

Creating Connected Workplaces, delivered by Annecy Behavioral Science Lab and Humans:Connecting, helps you build the systems and relationships that make genuine connection possible.

Stronger teams don't happen by accident. Let's design for them, together.

It’s time to bust a myth: your job – and how you important you are in your workplace – does not make you immune to loneliness.

Phil McAuliffe – Humans:Connecting’s founder – desperately clung to this myth when he first suspected that he was experiencing loneliness. It led him to try to maintain appearances of everything being under control, all while he desperately tried to work on a solution without anyone else knowing.

This myth is seductive. It’s dangerously wrong.

We’re here to help you get the connection you need.
