Interchange Health Co-op is delighted to welcome Dr Mano Selvanathan to the team

Mano graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of New England in 2019 and worked for several years in the Hunter New England Hospital network, primarily at the John Hunter Hospital.

He has a vested interest in preventative health and chronic health management with a focus on patient centered care.

Mano commences general practice training intending to have a good work-life balance. Outside of work you may see him lifting weights repeatedly, cycling or cooking various delicious creations.

Interchange Health Co-op is delighted to welcome Dr Sam Moran to the team

Dr Sam Moran grew up in Melbourne and completed undergraduate studies in science before completing his medical degree at Monash University and working in regional Victoria and Sydney. He is currently completing general practice training in Canberra and on the South Coast of NSW. Sam has a Diploma in Child Health and spent two years working at a Children's Hospital before starting in general practice.

Sam enjoys all aspects of general practice and getting to know patients from all walks of life.

Exercise Class - 3 Physiotherapist consults plus tailored 8-week exercise class once a week: Concession card holders.

WE ARE NOT CLOSING

Interchange health Co-op would like to clear up any confusion that may have come about due to recent media releases and interviews regarding the upcoming closure of Hobart Place General Practice.

The Interchange General Practice was well-known for the provision of comprehensive and non-judgmental healthcare. Taking advantage of a grant from the ACT Government, the Interchange General Practice Canberra City closed in late July 2019 and was reborn as the Interchange Health Cooperative in Tuggeranong in August 2019. The Interchange Health Cooperative provided the same comprehensive, non-judgmental healthcare that the Interchange General Practice had always provided.

The current struggles facing general practice, the freeze in medicare rebates has provided challenges. Continuing to provide high quality care and bulk billing and providing access to some of Canberra’s most vulnerable has not been an easy task but rest assured we are not closing.

We are saddened by the closure of Hobart place general practice and wish the team all the best in their future endeavours.
