The Position

KMI International seeking an enthusiastic Diagnostic Radiologist for a new independently owned imaging provider to join a team of sonographers and radiographers to serve the central Canberra. You will have access to new state-of-the-art imaging equipment and technology. This position offers attractive working conditions while working with a supportive and friendly team of experienced healthcare professionals. A lucrative remuneration package is on offer with part-time and full-time positions considered. Employment at one dedicated site.

While providing effective, efficient, and professional clinical Radiology services to patient’s duties will include, Ultrasound, CT, and interventional procedures and reporting, and monthly clinical meetings. Non-clinical duties include participation in college governance, teaching and supervision of sonographers, Radiology research and related clinical meetings.

This provider uses state of the art equipment and you will be working alongside some of the most supportive and experienced Radiology staff in the radiology business.

Requirements:

- Full AHPRA Registration
- ACT Radiation Licence
- CT Highly Desirable but if have no experience no worries
- Visit health care providers (Combination Role, specific to Enthusiatic Radiographers)
- Ability to make decisions and work without any pressure
- Friendly, caring and compassionate nature

Responsibilities:

- Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols within nominated timeframes
- Understand nursing procedures for the patients examined and the procedures for medical emergencies, infection control and interventional techniques
- Work alongside Radiologists to perform procedures and to assist them as required.
- Be familiar with all equipment and accessories provided so that a fluent examination can be undertaken
- Familiarity with RIS/PACS system to ensure accurate information is entered that reflects the correct service details provided to patients.
- Treat all patients with care, compassion, dignity and respect at all times and without compromise
- Undertake continuing education to ensure maintenance of skills and the ability to adopt newly developed techniques in medical imaging
