At Momentum Physio & Rehab Canberra, we’re committed to ongoing learning so we can continue to care for our community with confidence.

Today our team completed CPR training with Royal Life Saving Society Australia — refreshing the practical skills that can make a real difference in an emergency. A sincere thank you to Royal Life Saving Society Australia for delivering such practical, professional training and for supporting our team to stay up to date.

And although the Winter Olympics has wrapped up, don’t worry if you haven’t met our company mascot yet… 🥊🦘 Scooby Roo has been spotted popping up around the clinics!

Today he made a special appearance and “supervised” the session — bringing plenty of energy and a few laughs along the way.

Our Occupational Therapist Lauren is opening her books for appointments. We’re so excited to have her back from maternity leave and supporting our clients again.

We’re also delighted to welcome Emma, our newest Occupational Therapist, to the Momentum team. Emma brings a warm, client-centered approach, and we’re thrilled to have her on board.

With Lauren’s appointments now open and Emma joining the team, bookings are already filling fast from our waiting list. So, if you or your loved one would benefit from Occupational Therapy support, we recommend getting in touch ASAP!

to some valuable professional development late last year 👣

One of our physiotherapists, Elliott, was grateful for the opportunity to attend a specialised microprocessor knee course with Ottobock in November. The session explored advanced physiotherapy approaches for people with lower limb amputations, with a strong focus on maximising functional outcomes using a range of microprocessor prosthetic knees.

Continuing to build our knowledge and skills means we can bring the latest, evidence-informed care into the clinic as we head into 2026.

A few weeks ago—just before our Christmas shutdown—we were grateful to welcome Tom Chapman, Para Sport and Classification Advisor (NSWIS/ACTAS) from Paralympics Australia, to Momentum Physio + Rehab Canberra.

Tom shared valuable insights into the role of allied health in Para sport, sparking great discussion around collaboration, athlete pathways and how physiotherapy can support performance, participation and long-term wellbeing.

A big thank you to Tom for taking the time to visit, share his expertise and connect with our team. We appreciate the opportunity to learn, reflect and continue strengthening our support for Para athletes within our community.👏
