Great atmosphere in Canberra today for the 2026 Canberra Day Fun Run! 🏃‍♂️☀️

It was fantastic to see so many people out enjoying the event and celebrating Canberra Day with such an incredible turnout from the community.

A big thank you to Damsel & Sprout and Events ACT for putting together such a great event. The Blackhawk Logistics security team was proud to be onsite supporting the day and helping ensure everything ran smoothly and safely for participants and spectators.

It was also great spending time with the ACT Brumbies Women’s players throughout the event. As a proud sponsor of the ACT Brumbies, it’s always great to connect with the wider Brumbies family and support women’s rugby here in the ACT.

Events like this are what make Canberra such a great place to live, community, sport, and people coming together for a great cause and a great day out.

The ACT Brumbies delivered a no-nonsense comeback to steal a 30–27 win over the Blues at GIO Stadium on Saturday night, snatching victory with a dramatic Charlie Cale try after the siren. Locked at 15–15 at halftime, Canberra looked under pressure late as the Blues led by nine in the final quarter, but a yellow card to Stephen Perofeta swung the momentum — and the Brumbies capitalised through Luke Reimer before Cale finished it in the 82nd minute to keep them unbeaten this Super Rugby Pacific season. It was a gritty, guts-on-sleeve performance where resilience, front-foot ball, and ex*****on when it counted turned a tight contest into a stirring home-ground triumph.

Another outstanding night for the Blackhawk Logistics security team proudly delivering security services at Googfest 2026.

The event brought the region together for an electric evening packed with energy, community spirit, and entertainment. Families and friends enjoyed more than 20 incredible food vendors, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere from start to finish.

The stage was alive all night, with Midnight Mix and Milay setting the tone before Rogue Traders closed out the evening in spectacular fashion — absolutely bringing the house down.
