Today is R U OK day. At Jabez, care and supports isn’t limited to our participants and clients. We believe in providing the same care and support for each other.

The truth is that we can all help those we care about by reaching out for a chat. If you want to support someone but aren’t sure where to start, follow these four steps:

ASK R U OK? – Pick the right time and place and ask them how they're going.

LISTEN – Listen with an open mind and without judgement.

ENCOURAGE ACTION - Encourage them to do something that might lighten the load.

CHECK IN – Remember to check in again soon. Your ongoing care and support can make a difference.

We are looking to fill 5 roles:

2 roles for overnight, awake shifts for clients with severe anxiety and developmental needs.

2 roles for bedtime shift with heavy client with multiple sclerosis. Manual handling experience required.

1 role for social shifts and administering of insulin injection for client with developmental needs. Training and experience in insulin administering & behavioural management required.

Hourly salary based on award rates

FOR ALL APPLICANTS, you must have:

Certificate IV Disability or other relevant qualification

Previous training and experience working within Disability Support - with Challenging behaviours and/or manual handling equipment

A current First Aid certificate

A current Working with Vulnerable People Check

Two professional referees from your past working experience

A certificate of completion for the NDIS worker orientation module

A current full Australian Licence and comprehensive car insurance

Certificate IV Disability or other relevant qualification is essential (or higher)

Previous training and experience working within Disability Support - with Challenging behaviours and/or manual handling equipment

Willing to obtain a new National Police Check at the time of your recruitment process
