Elite Rehab & Sports Physiotherapy is a clinic located in a brand-new modern facility in King Street Deakin, Canberra. Our philosophy is simple: provide the kind of high quality care and treatment we would expect both for ourselves and our families. Using experience gained from many years working in elite sport where cutting edge techniques and methods are often developed and expected, we aim to provide the best quality sports physiotherapy, rehabilitation and athletic development management available.The staff at Elite Rehab & Sports Physiotherapy are dedicated to helping you achieve your goals after an injury or illness, whether it be returning to normal activities of daily life or work, right through to the highest levels of competitive sport. We aim to get you back there as fast and successfully as possible. Private and compensable patients are welcome and we have HICAPS available. GYMThe practice has a purpose built gym area for use in rehab and re-conditioning. All the equipment is brand new and has been selected to train a range of functional attributes (strength, power, stability, control and flexibility), including a 25m indoor running track. Our facilities allow progression back to work specific duties (manual handling) with improved physical capacities and reduced injury risks. HYDROTHERAPY Hydrotherapy is conducted at the Kings swimming facilities, located next door to our practice in Deakin. Kings is a new swimming facility with pool depth ranging from 0.9 - 1.5m and water temperature set at 33°. These facilities allow water-based mobility and exercise in a warm impact free environment, which is perfect for lower-level and early-stage rehabilitation. FIELDThe practice is located adjacent to Deakin Oval, allowing outdoor rehabilitation and rehab running. The practice utilises GPS units and field equipment to track running volume, intensity and symmetry between sides.The practice also has seven treatment rooms, and both male and female changing rooms onsite.

⭐️Meet the Team! ⭐️

Michael Dillon - Exercise Physiologist

Michael has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst. He has spent time working in aged care, athlete development, occupational health, and most recently in private practice. He has experience working with an array of health concerns and chronic conditions.

Michael has an interest in working alongside neurological conditions, specifically Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and stroke rehab. He also enjoys helping people recover from musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain, getting them back into the things they love, whether that be sport or in life. Michael is passionate about understanding his clients and getting the best out of them.

Michael grew up in Orange, NSW and has recently moved to the Canberra region with his partner and dog. Outside of work Michael plays hockey, enjoys running and getting to the dam in the summer for waterskiing.

Luise adds over 15 years of experience to the Elite Physio team. Luise has published research investigating why frozen shoulders become stiff and continues to be a Physiotherapy lecturer at the University of Canberra.
Luise enjoys treating an array of injuries but has a particular interest in shoulders.

Over the years Luise has worked with many amateur and elite athletes including:
- Australian and NSW Men’s Gymnastics Team
- Tennis (ITF and Pro Tour Events)
- Australian U18s Men’s Hockey
- American Roller Derby Teams
- Britney Spears and her dancers during the Circus Tour
