As Exercise Physiologists, we see every day how powerful exercise can be in supporting both physical and mental health. This fundraiser is our way of honouring those impacted, raising awareness, and contributing to vital research and support services.

🔹 VE/VO2 (ventilatory equivalent for oxygen) - measures how much oxygen is being extracted from each breath we take during exercise

🔹 FEO2% (fractional content of expired oxygen) - it is the percentage of oxygen that is breathed out

🔹 Understanding these numbers helps shape smarter training, and boost endurance. Data-driven progress is the best kind!

Here is how you can incorporate more movement into your daily routine:

1. Instead of hitting snooze on your alarm, try out some glute bridges, pelvic tilts or knee rocks all from the comfort of your own bed.

2. Whilst waiting for the coffee machine or kettle to boil, try completing some countertop pushups, calf raises, bodyweight squats.

3. Park your car further away from work or the shops, opt to take the stairs instead of the lift.
