In this plenary delivered by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), you’ll meet three early-career GPs and GP registrars who each showcase the breadth and flexibility of the specialty.

You’ll hear from Dr Nadia Clifton, an experienced GP and medical educator with a passion for women’s and children’s health; Dr Keane Henderson, a GP registrar who’s explored rural clinical experience and sports medicine; and Dr Allyce Counsell, a newly Fellowed GP building a career in women’s health and academia.

Our Story

In 1960 a small group of medical students in Brisbane created what would become one of the largest student organisations in the world. Today the Australian Medical Students' Association (AMSA) has grown into a massive not-for-profit and the peak representative body for Australia’s 17, 000 medical students.

AMSA exists for you, so that you may find your voice, grow and be inspired. Standing on generations of friendship and Hawaii 5-0s, we exist to bring people together. And as the health community of today and tomorrow, we exist to advocate for a better world on a local, national and global level.
