A perfect reminder to celebrate all the incredible informal supports — our family members, wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, daughters, and sons — all those super important carers who give so much every single day 🌟

National Carer’s Week
🗓 Wednesday 15 October | 10am – 1pm
📍 Kippax Uniting Care – Creche Room

We’re celebrating the amazing carers in our community, and we’d love for you to join us! 💜

Here’s what’s happening:
• 🍔 BBQ from 11am hosted by Kippax Welcome Café – carers are encouraged to join in and enjoy a bite!
• 🎁 Goodie bags for the first 20 carers through the door
• 🥪 Delicious food including wraps, cake, fruit & drinks
• 🎨 Craft activity for adult carers – relax, chat, and create
• 🎈 Lucy Sparkles with balloon animals for the kids
• 🌈 Face painting fun for little ones
• 🎟️ Lucky door prize – you could be our winner!
• 🚗 Loads of parking behind Kippax Centre
• 🤝 Other local services including Noah’s Ark and more will be there

✨ What a week it’s been! ✨

This time last week we kicked things off with two huge days at the Canberra Disability Expo — and wow, what an experience! A massive thank you to everyone who came by to learn more about Caring Approach (and of course to our great friends at for teaming up with us 💙💚).

➡️ Monday kept the momentum going with our SDA Open Home alongside VERA Living. It was fantastic to showcase the brand-new SDA apartments soon to be available in Gungahlin. With our Denman Prospect apartments almost at capacity, now’s the time to book your 1:1 walkthrough for both Boulevard and NUE apartments here in Canberra!

This week also brought a special highlight as Carrick and I met with a new SDA tenant — being part of these journeys is such a privilege. It’s truly life-changing to see people moving into homes that give them greater independence, comfort, and choice.

🏉 And a huge shoutout to our friends at the They surprised us with a signed 2025 jersey during the expo for a very special giveaway. Our lucky winners came by this week to collect their prize — we can’t wait to see you cheering on the Brumbies next season! We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with our favourite team throughout 2025–2026. 💛💙🐴🏉
