We’d like to welcome new CMA member, Southern Cross University. Read a bit more about them below:
“Southern Cross University (SCU) is a leading Australian regional university delivering industry-aligned research and education across health, agriculture, and natural products, with a strong focus on commercial relevance, regulatory quality, and real-world impact. Through its Harvest to Health research impact cluster, SCU integrates plant science, functional foods, nutrition, and human health research to support the development of high-value, evidence-based products and sustainable production systems, enabling innovation from soil to shelf.
SCU is home to the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM), a globally recognised centre combining applied research, professional education, and clinical training in naturopathic, lifestyle and integrative medicine. Working closely with industry, regulators and healthcare stakeholders, the Centre advances evidence-based complementary medicines, natural product development, and non-pharmacological interventions, while its education programs develop practice-ready graduates. Embedded within the NCNM is SCU’s Clinical Trials Centre which supports industry partners with Phase I–IV trials, evidence package development, pharmacokinetic studies, telehealth and decentralised trial delivery, and in-house pathology collection to enable robust product validation and regulatory submissions.
Separately, SCU operates the Analytical Research Laboratory (ARL) for advanced chemical and biological testing and the Environmental Analysis Laboratory (EAL) for accredited water, soil and environmental analysis, supporting industry and government clients nationwide.”
