Looking for support over the Christmas period?
All of our programs in NSW and ACT will be closed from 3pm on Wednesday 24th December 2025 until 9am on Monday 5th January 2026.

During that time, we'll have some limited services available if you need to reach out 🧑

We will have phone support available from 9am to 5pm on Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st December.
During this time:
Pathways Goulburn and Pathways Murrumbidgee clients should call 0409 245 148.
Pathways Eurobodalla, Pathways Monaro, SHaWS and BMHH clients should call 0409 339 517.

From 10am to 2pm on Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st December:
Althea Wellness Centre in Woden will have GP and Nurse scheduled appointments for existing clients;
Treatment & Support Services (TSS) in Woden will have walk-in and phone support services available (call 02 6132 4800 or come in);
and NSP Civic will be open.

CanTEST in the City will be open on Tuesday 30th from 4pm to 8pm.

Directions' Needle & Syringe Program (NSP) were thankful to receive a generous donation from Canberra Circle of Women this week in preparation for Christmas 2025 - a huge delivery of dozens of hand wrapped gifts.

We have built a strong reputation among the sector and importantly with our clients for over forty years, as a provider who understands that everyone’s story is different.

We apply a holistic approach to our work and can tailor programs to suit the needs of each client. And we do not judge. Our service is open to any person with an alcohol, drug or other addiction, including those who continue to use substances.

Our focus is on supporting our clients, reducing substance-related harm and improving personal and public health. We do this by working in partnership with individuals, their families and friends, the sector and community. Our aim is to maximise each client’s health and wellbeing, offering the help and support they need. Over 90% of our clients agree.
