Hello everyone
A few quick updates…
Firstly, we’re working on getting the Meditation Made Easy course available online very soon. Featuring my unique voice-guided meditations – this free course includes clear audio instruction on learning to meditate making this invaluable skill accessible for everyone. There are vital tips on how to manage the mental churn that never seems to turn off and a number of guided recordings to help you build a broad meditation practice. In particular, it is the sound of my voice that many people find a helpful and engaging anchor that helps quieten the mind and invites the ‘letting go’ response. The course will be made available through our Syandra Health Centre website – hopefully within the next 2 to 3 weeks. We’re making this course absolutely free and available online in response to the rising levels of anxiety in the community…and to avoid the practical difficulties of meeting physically during a pandemic. We’re also hoping to reach a greater number of people this way. In future posts I’ll be talking more about the many benefits of meditation; how it can improve mental clarity, settle emotional disturbance, raise our levels of awareness, while, most importantly, reducing stress and anxiety.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve also added four albums of guided meditations to the Syandra Health Centre website, so these are now available for purchase as digital downloads.
Last but not least, a few people have asked me about the best place to buy a copy of my new book, Healing The Mind That Can’t Let Go. My book is available through all the usual online bookstores, Booktopia, Angus and Robertson, Amazon, Book Depository. But, if you live in Australia I recommend that you buy a copy through our website – we dispatch all orders within 24 hours and send via express post so you can have your copy within a couple of days.
You can check out our website @ www.syandra.com.au

Bye for now.

Exciting news! Finally, my new book is here…
It’s called Healing The Mind That Can’t Let Go – and according to several eminent pre-publication reviewers it’s a great read!
This book has been many years in the making, so I’m both delighted and a bit relieved that it’s finally made its way into the world.
Healing The Mind That Can’t Let Go tells the true and compelling story of ‘Darren’ – not his real name. Darren suffered from major depression and anxiety for over 18 years. Talk therapy, anti-depressants and electric shock therapy did not help his condition. His illness was severe and long lasting. After all mainstream treatments had failed, Darren’s psychiatrist referred him to see me – and so the story begins…
I draw upon my 30+ years as a subconscious mind therapist and some of the latest discoveries in neuroscience to explain how anxiety causes the neurological dysfunction that is depression. Anxiety affects the nervous system, leading to a state of hyper-connectivity or ‘the mind that can’t let go...’
This story will forever change your understanding of anxiety and depression – and most importantly, it heralds a new and effective approach for treating anxiety and depression.
I’m biased, yes, but I strongly encourage anyone suffering from anxiety or depression, or anyone who is caring for a friend or family member with these disorders, or health professionals looking to help people heal from these illnesses – to read this book!
You can order a copy from Booktopia or Angus and Robertson – or you could ask your local bookshop for a copy and encourage them to support local authors!
