Mandate Sepsis Protocols Canberra 2026

Mandate Sepsis Protocols Canberra 2026 Let’s join together in 2026 to bring Sepsis Awareness to Canberra. Honouring the survivors and those we have lost to Sepsis.

Debbie presented her personal Sepsis presentation on Thursday.
Little did any of us realise that at the time, she was about to be admitted to hospital with Sepsis!
During the event she felt unwell, she went back to the motel, feeling worse. An ambulance was called and she was transported to hospital where she was diagnosed and Antibiotics were administered quickly. Her condition has improved and we are hoping she’ll be going home shortly.
(Ironically she was wearing one of our “Could it be Sepsis?” Polo shirts when she was taken to hospital.)

Over the course of next week we will share the stories that Debbie, Renee, Jess, Caitlin and John presented in Canberra.

Our journey to Canberra may have finished however our work is not done.
We still need to get our asks inside the walls of Parliament. For that to be achieved we have to present it in the form of a petition.
Please sign and share. There are 84,000 reasons why.

Yesterday. What a day!
An idea that proves if you truly believe that something is important and have passionate people supporting you, you can achieve.
We’d like to thank a few people for bringing this idea to fruition
Thank you to Luke Gosling MP from NT who secured the Courtyard booking, without which yesterday would not have gone ahead.
Thank you to Debbie. What a passionate powerhouse, whom I am sure is sick of seeing and making Resin Bears. These bears are being given to all MPs with a one page information page. Thank you for travelling from Brisbane to Canberra with Renee who shared her sons Cohen’s story for the first time.
Thank you to Caitlin for sharing her story.
Thank you Sepsis Australia, Maya, Brett, Professor Finfer, Professor Hammond and Dr Dye who supported this crazy group of 4 ladies who dreamed up this idea.
Thank you to my son John who was MC at this important event.
Thank you to Jess and Trevor making the trip from Northern Territory to Canberra. Trevor you were awesome! Thank you for being a Sepsis Superhero.
It was lovely to meet you all in person,

This Thursday we will be in the Courtyard delivering our stories to Parliament House. There are 84,000 reasons why we are making this trip. But for me, there’s one. He was one of the 12,000.
We are making this trip to raise awareness so that hopefully other’s loved ones don’t become one of the statistics.
Please share your story with us to share on Thursday. Or better yet join us in Canberra.
Head to the event pinned to the top of this page or comment below if you would like to attend too.
