Capalaba Natural Health

Capalaba Natural Health Since 2003, Capalaba Natural Health has been helping women and men across the Redlands transform their health naturally.

Helping Redlands women & men 40+ lose weight, boost energy, reduce pain & improve their health naturally 💚 Trusted locally since 2003 with over 3,000 weight loss successes. Led by award-winning naturopath Tony — supported by naturopath Colin — our clinic has supported thousands of clients with challenges like weight loss, low energy, stress, anxiety, digestive issues, and hormonal changes. We specialise in supporting women aged 40–65, who often come to us seeking help with weight loss, fatigue, stress, and hormonal balance. But many men also turn to us for natural solutions to their own health goals — and we’re proud to support them too. We believe you deserve to feel vibrant, confident, and supported — not overwhelmed by quick fixes or one-size-fits-all advice. That’s why we take the time to understand your unique needs and create a personalised plan that works for your lifestyle. Over the years, we’ve helped more than 3,000 people lose weight naturally — and keep it off. One client shed 120kg, while many others have lost 20–50kg and rediscovered their energy and zest for life. Beyond weight loss, our naturopathy, food intolerance testing, and frequency-specific microcurrent therapy have helped countless people improve digestion, relieve pain, balance hormones, and lift their energy to an 8–9/10.

Colin’s Crack Up of the Week

Two slices of bread got married.
The ceremony was going quite well until someone decided to toast the bride and groom. 😂

Bread gets blamed for a lot when it comes to weight gain.

But for most women over 40, weight gain is not about one slice of toast.

It is about hormones shifting.
Stress levels rising.
Sleep changing.
Metabolism slowing down.

If you feel like your body is not responding the way it used to, you are not alone.

We have helped over 3,000 women lose weight naturally by addressing the real drivers behind midlife weight gain, using personalised, realistic support designed to work with your body.

Your first step is a comprehensive Weight Loss Assessment, where we identify what is really holding your body back.

Christine is now at reception and ready to help you book your assessment.

Ladies - quick question 💗
Have you noticed yourself paying a bit more attention to food and wellbeing as you move through your 40s and beyond?

One thing that often comes up in everyday wellbeing conversations is phytoestrogens - naturally occurring plant compounds found in a variety of common foods. Many women choose to include more of these foods simply as part of a balanced, nourishing way of eating.

Some foods that contain phytoestrogens include:

Flaxseeds (linseeds)

Chickpeas and lentils

Soy foods like tofu, tempeh and edamame

Sesame seeds

Berries (including strawberries)

💡 Simple idea to try at home:
Adding 1–2 teaspoons of ground flaxseed to yoghurt or smoothies, enjoying legumes regularly, and aiming for a mix of colourful plant foods across the week.

Small, consistent choices can be a lovely way to support general wellbeing — especially in busy seasons of life.

👇 Over to you, ladies:
Which of these foods do you already enjoy… or which one would you like to try adding in?

On Sunday, we had the pleasure of hosting our Healthy Weight Reset Brunch with the Social Mums Club community, a beautiful morning filled with connection, open conversation and genuine support.

It was so great to spend time with a group of local mums, sharing relaxed, judgement-free chats around everyday wellbeing. Tony joined the morning to share general wellbeing insights and, most importantly, to be available for real conversations - something we know is deeply valued by this community.

We’re incredibly grateful to be long-standing supporters of Social Mums Club - Capalaba, Alex Hills & Surrounds. Supporting women through different seasons of life, with care, compassion and a very human approach, is at the heart of what we do.

😄 Colin’s Crack-Up of the Week

“I blamed washing powder for my eczema.
Seems it’s great on clothes… but terrible on cornflakes.”

A laugh, yes, but it highlights something we see often in clinic.

While topical products such as washing powders, soaps, fragrances and skincare can irritate sensitive skin for some people, skin concerns like eczema are often influenced by internal factors, particularly gut health.

Common contributing factors we see include:
• Food intolerances
• Gut imbalance (dysbiosis)
• Digestive stress and inflammation
• Ongoing physical or emotional stress impacting gut function

Stress plays a key role in gut health. It can alter digestion, disrupt the gut microbiome, and increase gut permeability, which in turn may influence immune activity and skin health.

For people who feel they have “tried everything” topically, a personalised and holistic approach that looks at gut-related factors may be worth exploring.

💚 Always personalised. Always holistic.
