Sisters of the Sky - Celebrating Aurora Australis and Aurora Borealis
Born of solar winds and cosmic breath,
They dance where Earth wears her ice-pole dress.
One graces the north in emerald flame,
The other the south, yet kindred the same.
Aurora Borealis, Queen of the Crown,
Ripples through pines in a silence profound.
Over fjords and frozen seas she glides,
In veils of violet, green, and ice-blue tides.
She whispers to wolves, to the old pine trees,
Telling tales carried by Arctic breeze.
Aurora Australis, her southern twin,
Weaves her fire where the oceans begin.
Over Antarctic snows and sleeping whales,
She paints the sky with spectral trails.
A silent choir for penguins below,
And icebergs bathed in her mystic glow.
They never meet, these sisters of light,
Each tethered to her pole, dancing the night.
Yet their song is one - electric and free,
A hymn of plasma, sky, and sea.
Children of the Sun and Earth's embrace,
Their beauty born from a solar grace.
They stitch the heavens with ribbons and flame,
And remind us: we too are made of the same.
So if you gaze where horizons fall,
North or south, heed the cosmic call.
For in those lights, both fierce and kind,
Are echoes of The Creator design.
