On 31 Jan 2026, we ran a ‘Coming Home to Yourself’ Workshop.
Psychologist Samantha Sheppard facilitated the event, sharing vital information about the unrealistic expectations placed on women and how this contributes to overwhelm, burnout, and that chronic feeling of “not being enough.”
The workshop involved information sharing, reflective activities, journal prompts, Gentle Yoga and Sound Healing.
We received such positive feedback from the women that joined in the workshop.
We too easily bypass the fact that we are expected to overwork ourselves as many different roles, especially as a female - the mother, the cleaner, the cook, the listener, the rule enforcer, the full time worker, the wife, the aunt, the sibling, the daughter and the list goes on……
It is truely not possible to show up 100% in all roles, maintain a happy health social life, maintain optimal health and fitness, and be mentally sound throughout it all… especially when we have a monthly cycle to consider where are hormones are on constant ebbs and flows.
