Confession 🫣
I don't like cooking as much as I used to, or as I think I "should" as a nutritionist. Cooking takes time and planning and energy - resources which can be very scarce for people with adhd.

My health is always a priority though. So over the years I've found a few meals that are super simple, that I can repeat and change up for variety, and taste great. Remember - simple does not have to mean boring!!

One example is Thai curry.. I "cheat" and use a nice jar past and all that's left to do is add the coconut cream, meat / tofu, and veggies. Then I garnish with a bit of natural Greek yoghurt and fresh Coriander. Delicious 👌

✔️ Simple and easy - one pan, few ingredients
✔️Prepared and ready in as little as 30 mins.
✔️ Batch cook - cook once eat a few times
✔️ Freezable - so convenient!
✔️ Change it up - try red, green or yellow curry with different combinations of protein and veggies. This way it never gets boring 🙌

Try it 🙂🍲

Don't underestimate the power of your lifestyle habits on your brain!

A good night's sleep, regular exercise, mindfulness practices, and stress management all have powerful effects on improving focus, attention and mood.

Recognizing burnout, incorporating yoga and including cold therapy can also be game changers.

Remember, small changes can lead to big improvements. This can reduce your need for medication or work in conjunction with it.

Let's work together to develop a personalised plan that addresses your lifestyle as part of the ADHD Wellness Trio by NeuroGoals.

What you eat CAN significantly impact your ADHD symptoms.

From essential nutrients like omega-3s and B vitamins, to managing energy levels with protein and complex carbohydrates, to avoiding additives that can worsen symptoms - nutrition plays a critical role in supporting brain health.

And let's not forget about the gut-brain connection, where inflammation in the gut can lead to inflammation in the brain and worsen symptoms too.

By understanding how nutrition can reduce inflammation and boost brain function, you can take better control of your ADHD and thrive!

ADHD can affect all parts of your life, with your physical and mental health being at the frontline and flowing on to all other things.

While medication can be helpful, building a strong foundation of wellness is still needed in order to thrive properly and should be the first course of action, regardless of medication.

As a nutritionist and neurofeedback provider (and someone who has ADHD themselves), I provide a unique foundational approach to naturally support individuals with ADHD.

This includes a personalised plan utilising our 3 avenues of wellness: Dynamical neurofeedback, nutrition, and lifestyle habits.

This can naturally help improve energy, mood, emotional regulation, focus, productivity, stress management, and quality of sleep, among many other potential benefits, with or without medication at any stage you're at.

Food is often overlooked and underestimated as a tool for managing ADHD 🍓

What we eat (or don't eat) has so much impact on how we feel and how well our brains can function 🧠

Managing ADHD requires a multifaceted approach, and without a solid foundation of good health by getting the nutrients we need and reducing the foods that aggrivate symptoms, it will always continue to be a struggle 🥴

Get in touch to find out I can help. I'm a nutritionist with ADHD myself, so I understand the obstacles we face when trying to eat well!
