The Happy Human Hub Where Happy Humans Hang Out! We are a disability support provider in Lake Macquarie, NSW.

We believe that our school aged children and young adults with disabilities need constant interaction and communication with their peers, those of similar age and interests, to build and form friendships and life skills. Our goal is to commence social programs for school aged children and continue supporting their development and independence when they leave school. Our team at The Happy Human Hub have found that participants who choose to include educational games and programs integrated into their daily program, are continuing to show improvement in all areas including development in speech and communication, physical, tactile, gross and fine motor skills. We have chosen ‘fun, interactive’ ways to support continuous learning in all aspects of the participant’s plan, including physical activities, improve independence, edu-tainment, community access and social activities.

Here’s what’s happening @ The Hub and in the community:

✨ Saturday Social Club – Program Coming Soon! Running fortnightly, this popular program is packed with exciting outings, activities, and shared experiences, great for participants who like to socialise, build friendships, and explore out of town and local area activities and events.

🌞 Social Dynamic Development Day Programs (17+) - Weekdays STARTING MONDAY 2ND FEBRUARY 2026 - Are filled with skill-building, community engagement, creative activities, and life skills development for adults with disabilities. Perfect for those that are transitioning from high school, seeking connection, growth, and a sense of purpose.

🌙 Thursday Night Hub Crawl (18+) – STARTING THURSDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2026 @ 6.00PM. A weekly social night where our adult participants head out to enjoy dinner, trivia or live entertainment, or stay in and play cards & games, sing karaoke or cook up a meal together. There’s always plenty of laughs. The perfect mid-week boost for confidence, independence, and social connection.

🎨 Social Connection Club (7-17) – With kids returning to school in the next few weeks, we've given parents the first week to settle their kids into school before starting our Social Connection Club - After School Program. ***STARTING MONDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2026***. Our after-school program is designed especially for children with disabilities. Fun, interactive, goal orientated & engaging activities to help boost social skills, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.

🏡 Introducing Our Beautiful STA HOME – Our Short Term Accommodation home is at 3 Main Road, Boolaroo. This welcoming space offers a safe, comfortable, and fully supported environment for short stays, with easy access to local activities and community life.

💚Hello Happy Humans, 💚

Week ONE was packed with excitement, smiles, and awesome adventures!

Our Happy Humans explored Oakvale Farm, 🐄 🐖 🐐 🐃where they met friendly farm animals up close. They then glided and twirled their way around the rink during Ice Skating, ⛸️ ❄️showing off confidence, balance, and plenty of laughs.

We dove into refreshing fun at the Central Coast Aqua Park, 💦 🌊bouncing and splashing our way across the inflatable obstacle courses. The energy continued at Inflatable World, 🎈 🏰where participants jumped, climbed, and enjoyed active play in a safe, supportive space. We even had time to sneak a spontanious stop in at the Beach to cool down after our active day.🌊🏖️☀️

To finish off an amazing week, the group visited the Port Stephens Animal Adventures, Bob’s Farm, 🐍🦈 🐙 spending time with rescued animals and learning about care, compassion, and animal wellbeing.

A huge week of connection, confidence-building, and joy for all our participants!

As we enter the final term of the year, we’re excited to share a fun-filled weekly Day Programs of activities designed to support growth, creativity, and connection. Our Term 4 Day Programs highlight the mix of community outings, creative projects, cooking adventures, active play, and festive celebrations that make this time of year special.

Social Explorers & Adventure Club – School Holiday Program
Looking for something exciting, inclusive, and memorable for your child these school holidays? The Happy Human Hub is thrilled to present our Social Explorers & Adventure Club, a program designed especially for children and teens with additional needs, aged 7–17 years.
Each holiday break, our passionate team of support workers and program leaders curate a vibrant calendar of activities that encourage participants to explore, connect, and thrive. From thrilling excursions like TreeTop Networld, Bubble Planet, and Blackbutt Reserve, to relaxed days enjoying BBQs, creative workshops, and games with friends, no two days are ever the same.
At the heart of the program is a focus on social connection and skill building. Every activity is carefully planned to nurture independence, confidence, and teamwork, while ensuring each participant feels safe, supported, and celebrated. Our small group ratios mean each young person receives the guidance they need to engage fully and have fun.
Parents can enjoy peace of mind knowing their child is in the care of qualified, experienced staff who understand the NDIS and the importance of tailoring supports to individual needs. The Social Explorers & Adventure Club is more than just a holiday program—it’s an opportunity for kids and teens to build friendships, discover new interests, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Social Explorer & Adventure Club – Day 2: Discovery Day at Hunter Botanic Gardens 🌺

Today was all about slowing down, exploring nature, and sparking curiosity as our participants wandered through the stunning trails of the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens.

We took in the colours, textures, and smells of the rainforest walk, cactus garden, and native flora — spotting butterflies, birds, and even some hidden critters along the way! 🦋🪻🐞

Experiences like today help our participants:
✔️ Connect with nature and practice mindfulness
✔️ Strengthen mobility and stamina through gentle walking trails
✔️ Build social bonds while discovering new environments together

What a beautiful, calm, and inspiring day 🌤️ Stay tuned for more midweek adventure magic tomorrow!

Good Morning Happy Humans!💚

Check out our Social Explorer & Adventure Club – Day 1: Oakvale Farm Fun! 🐐

What a fantastic start to the week! Today, our Happy Humans headed out to Oakvale Farm for a hands-on day of animal adventures 🐮🐥🐊

From bottle-feeding baby farm animals to getting up close with reptiles and kangaroos, there were smiles all around as our crew explored, patted, played and laughed their way through the day. 🌟

These experiences help build:
✔️ Confidence in new environments
✔️ Communication through shared experiences
✔️ Independence while exploring the world

We're so proud of everyone for giving everything a go today. Stay tuned tomorrow for more Social Explorer adventures! 🚐💚
