Happy Dots is a Paediatric Occupational Therapy service for children of varying ages and conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental conditions. 🎄 Happy Dots Christmas Party 2025 🎄

Today our Happy Dots team (less a few) set sail on the stunning Newcastle Harbour with Nova Cruises to celebrate an incredible year together — and what a day it was!

We enjoyed a beautiful lunch, plenty of drinks, lots of laughs and (of course!) some dancing as we cruised along the water. It was the perfect way to unwind, connect, and reflect on the amazing things our team has achieved this year.

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff for your hard work, heart, and dedication. Happy Dots wouldn’t be what it is without each and every one of you. ❤️

Struggling to hear those crisp 'K' and 'G' sounds? 🤔

It’s common for kids to substitute them with 'T' or 'D' (saying "tat" instead of "cat" or "do" instead of "go").

Here's a simple, playful trick from our Speech Pathologists to get that tongue in the right spot! 👇

💡 Happy Dots Tip: Lie on your back next to your child and open your mouth wide! When the mouth is wide open, the tongue naturally settles lower and further back, making it easier to isolate the correct 'K' and 'G' sounds.

Remember, these sounds are usually correct by 3 years of age! If your child is having consistent trouble, we can help.
