Ever wondered why your elbow is such a superstar for handstands?
Our resident "body nerds" love this stuff. You’ve actually got two different types of joints working together in there to keep you moving:
- The Hinge Joint: Think of this as the "stability specialist." It’s got a clever little bony notch that acts like a lock and key when you straighten your arm. It’s exactly why your arms feel so solid when you’re sticking a handstand.
- The Ball and Socket: This is the one that handles the "finesse." It lets your radius bone cross over so you can rotate your hand. It stays remarkably stable even while it's twisting, pretty clever, right?
If your elbows (or any other bits!) are feeling more "rusty gate" than "well-oiled machine," come see us. We’re great at those 10,000km world-class tune-ups.
