Give to Gain: This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the power of sharing knowledge, mentorship, and support within the speech pathology community. According to the 2024 Annual Report from Speech Pathology Australia, approximately 95% of its 15,115 members identify as female, highlighting how women lead the way in shaping the profession. When speech-language pathologists lift each other—through guidance, collaboration, and resource-sharing—we strengthen not just our field, but the lives of the clients we serve. By giving our time, expertise, and encouragement, we create a ripple effect of empowerment, helping every voice be heard and every story be told. True progress in communication and care grows when we support one another.
