Connection is essential for wellbeing — but it isn’t always easy.
Sophie supports people to develop social and communication skills, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of self.
She also works with families to better understand mental health conditions and advocates for the needs of people living with psychosocial disabilities.

Post 4 of 5 – Environment and Sensory Support
Ever felt that certain sounds, lights, or spaces make you feel “off”?
Sophie works with people to adjust their sensory and physical environments to reduce stress and overwhelm — especially for those with sensory sensitivities.
🕯️ This might mean small changes at home, like softer lighting, creating quiet zones, or adjusting textures and sounds that affect comfort and focus.
Your environment can be a powerful tool in supporting mental wellbeing.

Post 3 of 5 – Routines that Support Wellbeing
Our daily habits shape how we feel. Sophie helps people build healthy routines that support mental health — from improving sleep hygiene to structuring meaningful daily activities.
💡 Occupational therapy isn’t just about what you do, but how it supports your sense of purpose and balance.
A consistent routine can reduce anxiety, boost motivation, and make everyday life feel more manageable.

Post 2 of 5 – Managing Emotions and Stress
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally flat?
As a Mental Health OT, Sophie helps people learn practical coping strategies — like mindfulness, grounding techniques, and sensory modulation — to manage emotions, stress, and anxiety day-to-day.
These are tools that empower people to navigate life’s challenges with more confidence and calm.
✨ Tip from Sophie: “You don’t have to control your emotions — just understand them. That’s where real change starts.”

Post 1 of 5 – What does a Mental Health OT do?
👋 Meet Sophie, our Mental Health Occupational Therapist.
She supports people living with a range of psychosocial conditions including anxiety, depression, psychosis, PTSD, alcohol and other drug use disorder, and neurodivergence such as ADHD, sensory processing differences, and autism.
Sophie works alongside people to explore what’s most important to them — and the barriers that make daily life harder. Together, they find practical, evidence-based ways to improve wellbeing and function.
