☀️ Extreme Heat Alert – Please Take Care Today ☀️

With today’s extreme heat, we remind all our patients to take extra precautions to stay safe and well:

• Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water throughout the day

• Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest parts of the day

• Stay indoors where possible, or seek air-conditioned spaces

• Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and sunscreen if outdoors

• Check in on elderly family members, children, and vulnerable neighbours

• Never leave children or pets in cars, even for a short time

If you feel unwell, dizzy, faint, or have concerns related to the heat, please seek medical advice.

🟦 NEW PSYCHOLOGIST ALERT 🟦

We’re so excited to welcome Sanja, Psychologist, to the Key to Life Psychology team at St Mary Medical Centre 🤍
Sanja works with children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of mental health presentations. She has particular interests in:

• Anxiety and depression
• Grief and loss
• Trauma and adjustment difficulties
• ADHD and autism assessments
• Emotional and behavioural regulation
• Parenting support and family work

Sanja provides evidence-based therapy and psychological assessment, working from a warm, collaborative, and client-centred approach. She is bilingual and offers sessions in English and Serbian.

Sanja accepts Medicare, NDIS, WorkCover, and TAC referrals.

We’re thrilled to have Sanja joining our clinic family and look forward to the care she’ll be providing to our community.

🌟 Welcome Dr Joydip Ghosh to St Mary Medical Centre 🌟

We are delighted to welcome Dr Joydip Ghosh to the team at St Mary Medical Centre.

Dr Ghosh has been practising since 2021 and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Finland, with a strong interest in health promotion and primary health care. He is a skilled and compassionate GP who is committed to providing patient-centred, personalised care.

Dr Ghosh brings experience across general practice and aged care, with clinical interests including paediatrics, mental health, and the management of chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, COPD, and chronic kidney disease, as well as complex care of older patients.

Fluent in English and Bengali, Dr Ghosh is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community and looks forward to caring for patients at St Mary Medical Centre.

With thunderstorm activity forecast, patients with asthma, hay fever, or breathing conditions are reminded to take extra care.

Please remember to:
• Take your preventer medication as prescribed
• Carry your reliever (puffer) with you at all times
• Stay indoors with windows and doors closed where possible
• Seek medical help early if symptoms worsen (wheeze, cough, shortness of breath)

If you feel unwell or your asthma is not well controlled, please contact the clinic or seek urgent care.
